The year is twenty twentyfive. Things were normal until June 1st. Until the event known as falling powers. Several meteors entered the atmosphere and struck the planet some shattered sending small fragments all over and within days people started manifesting powers. So many different powers. A grading level system was created to identify strong individuals.( Ability Levels one to ten only one person is at the tenth level for reference. People are able to increase their ability levels by strengthening their power to the next level)The government immediately started making powered individuals register but that didn't go over too well. There is currently a civil war between the government and powered individuals. The government has many powered individuals of their own the country was split into two the top half and the bottom half. The government taking control of the bottom half and complete lawlessness on the top half. The top half is filled with multiple gangs of powered individuals along with several cults the most powerful is the bright light religion sharing the belief that their leader who goes by light is the all mighty. but near sterling heights Michigan there is a guy who believes he did not receive any powers however he is very special .
Roughly a month after falling powers standing outside of what was a party rental company smoking a cigarette is Josh. Thirtyfour-year-old loser who just wishes for a peaceful life. Long dirty hair ragged beard and dirty clothes. He had a daughter he hadn't seen since the collapse because his daughter her mother and family moved South where there was less chaos however Josh was not welcome South because of his record. He worked for the party rental company which the owner joe who awakend strength powers at the fifth level. Joe then converted the company into a help for hire company bringing on to other former employees turned ability users James with a level three fire ability and Tom with a level two speed ability. Joe kept Josh around because of their close Bond. Josh would give his life for Joe and Joe knew that . Behind the company building there was a small settlement with around 60 people. Josh however stayed on the roof he liked the piece of being alone. On this day leaning against the wall relaxing he had just gotten back from a job where he had to clean up several dead bodies and he was enjoying his payment a pack of cigarettes. As he took another drag James and Tom walked up James in nice clothes with a knife tied to his waist asking how he was doing but Tom also in nice clothes with a katana at his waist snickered and said he's being a waste of oxygen then in a flash moving over twenty mph Tom was in front of Josh and hit him in the stomach pushing him against the wall as Josh's eyes were closeld he saw a flash of purple his mind was racing 'what do I do what do I do' he rapidly thought. Acting quickly James stepped between them. What are you doing he asked Tom . Tom roared furiously " how dare you get in my way I just wanted his cigarettes" he then held up Josh's cigarettes.
James couldn't help but laugh. He just walked away.
Josh kept shaking and he roared "not again dammit" them he lunged forward throwing his fist out. But he just wasn't fast enough. Tom quickly moved around his fist and threw his own witch connected with Josh's face.
At that moment time seemed to slow for Josh he saw a purple spark between toms fist and his face and he felt something enter his body and formed a small ball inside his core. As he hit the ground he went unconscious.
Waking up in the building on a table he was confused until he saw James and joe standing over him." Finally your awake" joe spoke with a soft tone witch seemed strange for a tough bulky looking bald man with a axe on his back"how's your head feel". Josh replied with a groan."yeah I'd like to just be left alone for a while" joe replied"ok no problem feel better ok" he and James quickly left.
"Finally left alone to my own thoughts" Josh began to think. He closed his eyes and tried to feel inside that is when he saw it. There wasn't just one ball of energy but two. One being purple and the other a light green . Feeling the purple ball he pulled all the energy out witch amounted to several small purple sparks. He noticed moving the power through his body he was slightly faster and stronger but not much. But as he was returning the energy he noticed he could move it into the other ball but he decided he would examine it first after putting the purple energy away he pulled the other energy out and noticed it gave him super speed which was Tom's ability."dose that mean I can copy abilitys?" He thought "I will have to experiment but first" moving the power from his purple power into the light green enhancing the speed ability from level two to level three almost level four. "I see so my speed ability is that level two like Tom and my main ability seems to have already increased to level two from copying Tom's ability" he continued thinking "this could be a game changer"
