She nearly threw Cassias out of her embrace. The golden irises stared at her unblinkingly, slowly making her uncomfortable from its intensity.
"Cassias?" She called out again, waving her hand in front of her. Her lips curled up in a relieved smile. He woke up at last.
However, her smile soon stiffened. Oh… did she jinx it? The owner of a pair of innocent eyes tilted his head, brimming with curiosity. It looked cute, but why did the look make her heart palpitate with worry?
The mesmerizing golden irises only hold her figure in their reflection, a woman with a slightly unkempt appearance–her long hair sticking out all over the place.
There was no sign of recognition in these eyes. As if… he didn't know who she was.
Her heart sank, and a weight settled in her chest.
She tried again to call his name, hoping for a change. Her sound faint, almost like a whisper. "Cassias?"
