Isabella POV
Detective Morrison's full report arrived at nine AM, delivered in person to our penthouse with the kind of discretion that came from someone who understood the explosive nature of what he'd discovered.
As I reviewed photographs of Marcus Chen entering Elena's private clinic at midnight, financial records showing systematic payments between them, and transcripts of recorded conversations, I felt sick understanding how thoroughly we'd been betrayed.
"This goes back eighteen months," I said, studying bank records that showed Elena had been paying Marcus since the week he'd joined Cross-Sterling. "He's been working for her from the beginning."
"Not just working for her," Damien said grimly, reviewing surveillance photos that showed Marcus photographing documents in our conference room. "He's been conducting comprehensive corporate espionage while pretending to provide legal counsel."
