~Kael~
A shiver ran down his spine, and he shifted in his chair, not interested in the drums in the background. He was more concerned about the first-year and trial students who had walked out revealing their dragons.
It had been going on for an hour, and still there was no sign of Ryn.
A few times he exchanged looks with Veyr, who was seated two chairs away. They communicated with their eyes but said nothing.
What could be said in a large gathering, especially when their families were seated so close to the emperor? It would be bad for their family's image, and no one spoke unless the ceremony ended.
It was tradition.
Kael looked away from Veyr for a moment and stared at the entrance of the mountain. Almost all the students had returned, including Mira — but still no sign of Ryn.
A lot of crazy thoughts came into his mind, and he couldn't stop imagining that Ryn had been crushed to death by a dragon.
