In a dark and lonely alley lay a beaten down body of a young man with four men that looked like thugs staring coldly at him.
"Brat next time we see you anywhere near boss Grey's lady you'll surely regret it." Said one of the men who seemed to be the leader.
The young man raised his head, his hazel coloured pupils staring in confusion "I don't know who you're talking about, you've got the wrong guy." He explained only to receive a kick to the stomach in response.
The thugs were about to start another round of beatings when they heard footsteps, they turned around and saw two people walking in.
"Tim these thugs of yours really did a good job." Said one of the newcomers who was actually a lady with a face full of thick makeup, she hugged the arm of the man she came with.
"You can leave, I'll send you the money later." Said the man
"Yes boss." The thugs nodded before taking their leave.
The lady walked over and bent down in front of the man on the ground with a sneer on her face "Hello Daniel, you seem to be in quite a bit of trouble." She said while tapping his cheek.
The man on the floor fell into a trance staring at her face. He was Daniel Ford, a 21 year old college student , the lady he was staring at was his girlfriend Victoria Dwyane who recently started avoiding him a few days ago, after several phone calls he finally saw her here again.
He then stared at the man she came with and smiled, the smile was filled with various emotions "Who would have thought my best friend would actually betray me." He said while his expression grew cold.
The man was Tim Grey, his best friend since high school who he always treated like a brother.
Tim stared at him, his fairly handsome face full of disdain "I never betrayed you, I only cared about Victoria, you're nothing more than a loser who can't even provide for a lady's needs." Then he took Victoria in his arms and gave her a deep kiss.
"Congrats on using the same toilet as me." Daniel said with a smile.
His reply immediately caused Tim to fly into rage with Victoria trying to calm him down.
"You're nothing compared to Tim, he gives me whatever I want, I was just wasting my time being with you, both of us are not in the same league." Said Victoria with a puffed chest which looked comical due to her lack in that area.
"So why do you still have to send thugs after me?"
"We just wanted to let you know that you're nothing more than trash." Said Victoria with a look of victory on her face.
"I really don't know how you manage to be with him for so long with how wretched he is" Tim said with a frown
"Although he's trash, I can't deny that this thrash is actually smart, I needed his help with school work and he even worked part-time jobs to try to give himself some face by paying my college fees."
"Yeah that's right, hey trash how much do you want for taking care of her for so long." Tim stepped on his shoulder while asking causing Daniel to hiss in pain.
"No way, don't waste your money on this worthless trash, let's just leave." Victoria said with a trace of panic in her voice.
"Wow, you really hate him to this extent."
"No, it's just that I don't think he's going to live long enough to even spend a dime after that beating from those thugs."
Daniel just laid there quietly like he didn't hear their voices and soon fell unconscious, prompting both of them to leave due to unease.
Unconscious, in his head he hears a strange and ancient voice "The wanderer has awoken."
"Who's there?, where am I?" Asked Daniel in his unconscious state.
"You actually wandered into a mortal world, hopefully you won't cause any damages."
Then everything went blank.

After some time Daniel woke up finding himself in a strange room, he tried to stand up but found that he couldn't due to him being strapped.
There was a sudden beep in his head

Daniel's mind went blank for a second, why was he seeing words in front of him, he wanted to study it more but chose to check where he was.
He started observing the room after he calmed himself down. The room was filled with several laboratory equipment and other items he couldn't recognise.
It was only at this moment he realised that he had some of these gadgets connected to him.
An old man dressed in a lab coat suddenly rushed in excitedly.
"Hahaha, I finally succeeded in creating a super soldier, little boy do you know how lucky you are?" Said the man with a maniacal expression.
"..."
"I'm Ethan, you're in my private lab, out of ten thousand test subjects you're only the survivor." At this moment the man started crying.
Daniel was dumbstruck, how did he encounter such a madman.
