Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Prologue 1

It all began just moments after what seemed to be my death. I was walking down the road from work, minding my own business then bam I suddenly appeared in a dark void, standing in front of some powerful entity.

Now, seeing this, I was excited. As a novel reader who's definitely dabbled in the realm of fanfics, I thought, "This is it!" I was expecting my sweet three wishes the classic setup. I'd become overpowered, obviously, and hopefully get sent to another world where I could flex all my new abilities.

But damn, was I wrong.

Not wrong in the sense that I didn't become overpowered nah, this dude handed me almost every single power in fiction. I'm talking cursed techniques from JJK, fighting skills from Lookism, jutsu from Naruto you name it.

Unfortunately, certain abilities from universes like DC like Superman's or Flash's were completely off-limits. Apparently, their power to effortlessly rewrite reality was "too dangerous" or some other BS.

Honestly, I wouldn't have minded... until I heard the next clause.

To actually use those powers, the entity explained, I'd be sent to the world of Avatar: The Last Airbender. As a spirit. Specifically, to the time just before Avatar Wan bonds with Raava. I'd be bound to Wan as well.

Now here's the problem: I don't get all those powers at once except for the abilities and techniques from Lookism. The rest? I only get one technique or ability from one fictional universe during each Avatar cycle.

Hearing that, I nearly dropped to my knees. So basically, this thing whatever it was was giving me god-tier powers just to throw me into the Avatar universe, where I'd be trapped in someone else's body? Like, hell naaah. I wanted to refuse, but honestly, I was afraid of getting vaporized on the spot.

After listing all that, the entity gave me a set of rules I had to follow. And failure to obey them? Instant extirpation.

Now hold up I really wished I brought a dictionary with me, because I had no idea what that word meant. But I didn't dare ask I figured I'd just roll with it and try not to get myself erased.

Anyway, the rules were pretty straightforward:

I'm not allowed to physically interact with the world, but I can do so spiritually.

I can teach any of the abilities I unlock to the Avatar only.

The Avatar can pass them on to others, but only if I approve.

I must make sure the timeline stays intact nothing gets messed up, and everything plays out as it's supposed to. So, no making certain Avatars too OP.

Surprisingly, I was pretty calm. The rules weren't that stressful, though it sucked that I wouldn't get to physically interact with the characters. Still, characters who can see spirits would be able to see me, so that was something.

After everything was said and done, my vision started to blur and just like that, everything went dark.
