Saitama stared at Danzo, smirking slightly as electricity crackled across his skin.

His figure blurred into motion, dashing straight toward an enemy just ahead.
"This is all Root's elite? Is that all you've got?" Saitama thought to himself while scanning the battlefield mid-air.
Zzzzt! His blade, crackling with electricity, exploded against an enemy's body in brilliant flashes of blue-white light.
"Ahhh!" The enemy cried out in pain. But behind him, another ninja narrowed his eyes. Holding his blade, he thrust it through the wounded man's armpit toward Saitama.
Shwosh! A tomoe flashed in Saitama's eyes as blood oozed liquid-like from his eye socket.
"Die!" The attacker spat out two words, his eyes visible beneath his mask boring into Saitama with deadly intent.
Pfft! Blocking sideways with his sword, Saitama twisted his body away. In that instant, a kunai sliced across his shoulder.
"Freakin' annoying!" Glancing at dozens of surrounding foes, Saitama showed slight frustration on his face.
Not that these guys were actually tough—pfft, they just had no idea who they were messing with.
Sliding his foot forward, Saitama closed in on Danzo, seeing the hatred flash in his eyes.
But instead of charging directly at Danzo, Saitama plunged his blade into another enemy's chest. Blood gushed forth like geysers.
Teng! Using the momentum, he kicked off upward, leaping into the air.

Killing intent flashed across Saitama's eyes as he used a jutsu he had never utilized before.

Shklik! The sword sliced cleanly through the enemy's throat. Expression unchanged, Saitama kicked off and chased after the remaining opponent.

Pressing his left palm in a seal against the enemy's chest, Saitama twisted his wrist, sending the enemy flying backward.

Danzo stared at Saitama, slowly stepping closer.
By now, he clearly realized that Saitama was utterly crushing his men.

"What do you want?" Danzo asked coldly, his tone strange.
"You wouldn't have such a short memory, would you, Lord Danzō?" he said. "You came here today with a group of Root ninja—what is it you're after? My purpose, however, is the complete opposite of yours."
"Is that so?" Danzō tightened his grip on his right hand, well aware that there would be no peaceful resolution today.
He cast a sharp glance at the three Sharingan embedded in his arm. He knew he had to use what little life force remained to gain some advantage—even turn the battle around.
Whoosh! All remaining ninja rushed toward Saitama without hesitation.
Danzō charged forward at the same time, hands flashing through hand seals with lightning speed.

A dazzling storm of ninjutsu surged toward Saitama, sealing off every escape route.

The three tomoe within his eye spun rapidly, dark blood vessels spreading across the whites of his eye.
Whoosh! Saitama similarly pushed his Sharingan to its peak, and all the incoming Ninjutsu's paths became crystal clear before him.

Saitama crouched low, pressing his palm to the ground. In an instant, his body melded into the earth like soft soil.

The attacks missed, blasting deep craters where Saitama once stood—electric currents crackled, steam hissed, and flames roared, continuing to ravage the battlefield.

The earth shattered. A figure shot upward from deeper beneath the ground, landing on a nearby clearing—the very same Saitama who had just been under siege.
