Inside a hostel room.
"Fuck love!" Mathew roared at his friends after chugging down his beer.
"Haha, look at him being drunk on just beer," Bob looked at Jimmy and laughed at Mathew's state.
"Did I say anything wrong?" Mathew glared and Bob, "What does she mean by I'm too kind? If I was too kind, then why did she dump me in the first place?!"
He slammed his hand on the small wooden centre table.
"Hey, calm down, Mathew, you'll break the table," Jimmy advised.
"Calm Down?! How can I calm down after being dumped by my girlfriend after a two-year-long relationship?"
Mathew roared and then continued with a scoff, "It must have been easier to do for a playboy like you. You got a good face, a good body and no dearth of women!
But for people like me with average looks, just having a girlfriend means everything to us!" He roared while drunk.
"Hey Mathew, that's too much. You're also aware that Jimmy had his fair share of heartbreaks," Bob defended Jimmy.
"You call that heartbreak?! Within days, he was screwing up with a new woman, and this guy has the gall to lecture me, hah!"
Mathew snorted and chugged another mouthful of beer from the bottle.
"You think you're so smart, but in reality, you're dumb as fuck," Jimmy glared at Mathew and retaliated, "You think acting kind and caring towards your girl will make her stay with you? It never does. For her, you were never more than a dog, a simp she accompanied to validate her worth!
However, you'll still not learn from this and instead blame me?! I told you not to text and call her so frequently, invest more time in yourself, but you never listened!
Look at yourself in the mirror! You're no longer the person you were two years ago. You've got four arrears! Your health is the worst it has ever been, and you can't even run fifty meters without taking a breather!"
The whole mood suddenly turned serious the next moment.
"H-hey Jimmy, calm down, Mathew of course didn't mean those words...he just said it while drunk" Bob tried to calm the situation down, but the fuel had already been poured.
"At least I'm loyal, unlike you, who keeps screwing women after his first love rejected him!" Not wanting to lose, Mathew said something that he shouldn't have said.
"Y-you," Bob glared at Mathew for bringing up this topic.
Mathew too realised he had made a mistake, but it was already too late.
"Loyal? hah?! What a joke? What did you even do with her in those two years, apart from holding hands? I can bet she had been screwing other men on the side the whole time, but why would you care? You're loyal, right?" Jimmy snickered at Mathew's words.
"You bastard!" Mathew lost his cool when he heard Jimmy bad-mouthing his girlfriend and launched a punch at him.
A scuffle ensued.
Bloodied and bruised, Mathew lost the fight very quickly.
"Why did you even fight him when you knew you would lose?" Bob shook his head and helped Mathew up.
Jimmy had long left the room in anger.
"Leave me alone." Not wanting Bob to look at his embarrassing appearance any longer, he told him to leave.
"Sigh...I'm going. Just relax, bro, it's just a breakup. You'll get the girl who genuinely likes you very soon," Bob patted Mathew on his back and left the room.
"...but who I want is her," Mathew muttered under his breath and closed the door.
Wanting to sleep, he switched off the light and went to bed.
However, an urge to check his girlfriend's profile made him sit back up and grab his mobile.
Since his original ID had been blocked, he used his fake ID to check her profile.
Looking at her mesmerising face, a tearful smile formed on Mathew's face.
"Jane...just what was it that I did wrong..." He muttered. At that moment, Jimmy's words flashed in his mind, but he soon shook them away.
"That can't be," Mathew muttered.
However, as if to prove him wrong, Jane posted a new picture the very next moment with the caption, 'Me and my boyfriend'
"This!" Seeing Jane with another man, just a day after she had broken up with him, felt gut-wrenching.
His eyes were shocked, his chest heavy and taking each breath had become very difficult.
Filled with anger and all sorts of unpleasant emotions, he wanted to get answers to his questions.
He started typing a long comment on her post, blaming her for everything and playing with his feelings all this time, but before he could send it, his phone died.
"Fuck! Where's my charger? I won't be able to sleep until I make everyone know that this bitch is a cheater!"
With his mind set, he pulled out his charger, which had its wires worn out condition from his bag and connected it to his phone.
Light sparking sound kept coming from the plug, but he ignored it and waited for the phone to switch on.
Filled with rage and injustice, his mind was too preoccupied to bother about the sparking sound.
The phone finally turned on, and he opened the social media app the next moment.
Mathew was forced to type the whole message once again since the previous memory was lost. Although irritated, he did not bother about how hot his device was turning.
He finally pressed on 'Sent' and the message appeared below her post.
"Haha, I just can't wait to-"
BANG!
His phone exploded, and everything turned dark for Mathew.
______________
"AHHHHHHHH!" Mathew opened his eyes and roared in fright, but his changed surroundings suddenly caught his attention.
"W-what? Where am I? Didn't my phone explode?" Mathew muttered as he looked around the room.
It was large and looked quite clean and organised. His gaze then fell on his hands, and surprise took over him.
"Why does my hand look like that of a kid?!" With this thought, he soon rushed out of bed towards a mirror.
"Uchiha Sasuke?!!!!!" A loud shout escaped from the residence the very next moment.
