The Galaxy Destroyer's brilliant radiance illuminated the cosmos as expanding energy instantly shattered celestial bodies and annihilated everything in its path.
Raditz's emerald eyes watched the tremendous explosion consume everything before him, the destructive force nearly piercing through the universe itself. But something discordant within the light made his heart skip slightly, causing his brows to furrow with concern.
After brief resistance, the tightly restrained Mira was completely engulfed—Raditz felt that destruction clearly. However, Towa was actually breaking through his psychic barrier! He sensed with growing alarm that she might have succeeded in her escape attempt.
Too late to confirm his suspicions, Raditz found himself fleeing the expanding devastation, dragging Trunks along as they raced ahead of collapsing galaxies and cosmic annihilation. The strange sensation left him deeply unsettled.
In the next instant, rainbow light transported both warriors back to the Time Nest. The external energy shockwaves made their journey extremely turbulent, with constant danger of being ejected from the spacetime tunnel entirely. Finally, they materialized safely in the interdimensional headquarters.
Upon landing, Chronoa and the assembled Time Patrollers erupted in enthusiastic celebration. Endless applause, whistles, and cheers filled the air as they embraced Trunks with congratulatory fist bumps and infectious laughter. Everyone in the Time Nest felt ecstatic that the demon realm's greatest threat had finally been eliminated.
"We actually did it! They're gone!" one patrol member shouted jubilantly.
"All thanks to Mr. Raditz's incredible power!"
People congratulated the successful mission, but Raditz wiped sweat from his cheeks and consumed a senzu bean while his smile remained notably strained.
"Everyone should wait before celebrating," Raditz interrupted the crowd's cheers, his expression serious enough to prove he wasn't joking. The atmosphere immediately grew tense as Chronoa felt unease creeping into her heart. "Can you still detect any trace of those two demons?"
"We're not sensing any activity from Towa or Mira. You should have destroyed them completely, right? After all, nobody could survive what we just witnessed..." Chronoa replied, though doubt crept into her voice.
The Elder Kai nodded in agreement. "After being struck by Super Saiyan 3's Galaxy Destroyer technique, nothing should be able to survive. Even someone as powerful as Mira couldn't escape that level of devastation, could he?"
Even the Supreme Kai of Time's spacetime monitoring abilities couldn't locate any trace of either demon, which seemed to prove definitively that both had been annihilated.
Raditz shook his head grimly. "That's what troubles me. I clearly felt Mira being destroyed by my attack, but when I targeted Towa, my psychic imprisonment was disrupted for a crucial moment. I never got the confirmation that she was eliminated—meaning we might have only defeated Mira."
"That's impossible!" Chronoa searched frantically again but found nothing. "I can't detect any trace of Towa anywhere. That entire timeline is completely empty... though perhaps she really could manage such an escape..."
Chronoa couldn't rule out the possibility. This villain from the demon realm had evaded her capture multiple times before through cunning and supernatural skill.
It seemed everything was far from over.
"So what should we do now?" the panicked time patrollers asked anxiously.
"Without Mira as her primary weapon, Towa's actions will definitely be temporarily suspended. At least in the short term, we don't need to worry about immediate threats," Chronoa explained with forced optimism. "Of course, that's only until she finds someone new to corrupt and manipulate..."
Most people present understood the demon realm's terrifying ability to invade hearts and exploit evil thoughts for their schemes. If Towa had indeed survived, it was probably only a matter of time before she found another opportunity to complete her apocalyptic plans.
Suddenly, everyone's mood plummeted from celebration into worried depression.
Raditz laughed reassuringly. "Don't be so pessimistic. Eliminating at least one of them represents major progress. Towa alone isn't nearly as dangerous—she's exhausted almost every powerful ally she could recruit. Besides, whether it's her or anyone else, they'll have to get through me first!"
"That's absolutely right! Mr. Raditz is here to protect us!"
"Exactly! We shouldn't worry so much!"
Everyone smiled and nodded with renewed confidence. With Raditz as their ally, Towa's schemes seemed manageable regardless of their complexity.
Remembering the devastated timeline they'd just left, Raditz suddenly asked, "Lady Chronoa, what will happen to that destroyed reality? It seemed beyond any possibility of repair."
"You're correct—we have no intention of attempting restoration. The standard procedure for dealing with irreparably damaged timelines caused by abnormal distortion is direct erasure of the entire temporal branch. We've encountered previous cases where scientific experiments caused spacetime disorders, and complete elimination was the only viable solution."
As administrators of the temporal flow, their priority remained maintaining spacetime integrity above all else. They never resorted to such drastic measures unless absolutely necessary, and erasing an entire timeline required exponentially more effort than simple repairs. But this time Chronoa had made her decision without hesitation.
The Elder Kai sighed helplessly. "The consequences Towa created this time extend beyond our repair capabilities. We have no choice but to employ the most extreme method available."
"Then let's get to work and finish this final task," Chronoa declared with renewed determination.
In the Time Nest, everyone resumed their duties to prepare for the comprehensive cleanup operation. Chronoa deliberately kept Trunks behind to walk with Raditz along the stone pathways. She strolled ahead with her hands clasped behind her back, moving at a leisurely, unhurried pace.
"I owe you tremendous gratitude, Raditz. I thought everything was proceeding according to my tactical plan, but I unexpectedly put you in mortal danger. It really makes me nervous thinking about it. Speaking of which, even I didn't fully comprehend just how powerful that transformation was—strength rivaling the gods themselves." Chronoa recalled the cosmic battle with her heart still racing. "Do all Saiyans possess such incredible potential?"
"Many Saiyans have infinite possibilities for growth, including Trunks here."
"I'm nowhere near Mr. Raditz's level," Trunks protested with embarrassment, waving his hands dismissively.
"Hehehe, Trunks is quite exceptional in his own right," Chronoa smiled warmly. "More and more powerful enemies keep appearing, and even I find it frightening sometimes. But Trunks has eliminated numerous threats single-handedly—he's been invaluable since you recommended him to me. However... I'd like to ask a personal favor..."
She stopped walking and became uncharacteristically shy. After Raditz had helped her so much and nearly sacrificed himself in the process, Chronoa felt genuinely guilty. Her tone softened considerably from her usual authoritative demeanor.
"Could you... continue training Trunks so he can eventually reach your level of strength?"
After hesitating briefly, Chronoa finally made her request explicit.
Her reasoning was practical: Trunks currently served as the Time Nest's primary combat specialist. If future crises arose when Raditz couldn't provide assistance, having Trunks reach higher power levels would eliminate many concerns.
"Hahaha, is that all you're worried about? Even if you hadn't asked, I was already planning to train him properly. Such promising potential shouldn't be wasted," Raditz agreed with genuine enthusiasm.
Intentionally or not, he had already begun helping Trunks advance toward Super Saiyan 2 level. Among the second generation fighters, both Gohan and this Trunks deserved intensive development. Gohan had already achieved Mystic state through potential development—now Trunks should follow suit and surpass his current limitations.
I wonder who will improve faster: Trunks under my guidance, or Goku and Vegeta with their training? Raditz thought with amused anticipation.
