Kanon was silent, seeing what he got. It was not what he expected, but he was also not disappointed or dissatisfied with it. If it does exactly what it says, he prefers this to the other things. Although he still felt reluctant to miss out on the sword Evansmana.
For some reason, he felt like Evansmana was meant for him. He was supposed to have it, but because of this damn gacha, it was clearly not meant to be.
With a sigh, he scratched his head. "Well, I had to do with what I got." His attention then went back to the screen.

Kanon, noticing the new status-like screen in front of him, was intrigued and read through the whole thing, which provided some information about him.
"So, I am a reincarnation after all," Kanon was relieved to find this information. He had worried that he had unknowingly stolen this body from the supposed original Kanon, but now, seeing this information, he felt a sense of relief.
"Alright then, where is my compensation?" With that weight off his chest, he eagerly waited, only to be greeted with a dazzling light right in his face, forcing Kanon to cover his eyes.
"Fuck!!" He cursed, rolling in his bed.
Kanon, blinded by the light, remained oblivious as an orb of light emerged from the screen and entered his body. Shortly after, the screen vanished.
While Kanon was still recovering from the flash of light, something strange happened. In the spot where the screen had just floated, the space suddenly tore open, and another orb of light shot out from the pitch-black darkness, entering Kanon's body. All of this occurred while Kanon remained completely unaware.
"..."
Kanon regained his vision and saw that the screen had already vanished. He tried to will the screen to appear again. This time, the blue transparent screen didn't appear, which confirmed his thought that the system was only here to hand him his compensation. And now that it has done its job, it has disappeared.
[Does this mean I have received my compensation?] Reflecting on this, Kanon willed a gate to appear, and as expected, a stone gate adorned with an owl crest materialised out of thin air.
==IMG==
"So, this is the gate to another world." Kanon was excited to see it.
He couldn't wait to open it and was about to open the gate, but he stopped himself.
Who knows where the gate would take him? What if the gate takes him someplace dangerous, like in Attack on Titan, right in the middle of the rumbling incident? Or what if he found himself amid a battle between powerful entities and perished due to the impact of their clash? If something like this happens, what will he do?
Thinking about the possibilities put a damper on his mood: "What should I do?"
Wondering, he fell flat on his bed and stared at the door.
…
..
.
"Fuck it! What's the point of having this door if I'm going to hesitate to open it? It's time for me to show some guts," Kanon said, clenched his fist and cheered himself.
"Ugh," he sighed, feeling his shoulders slump. Despite his attempts to lift his spirits, the unease lingered. He was still curious about what lay beyond the door, so he resolved to take a quick look.
"It will be fine if I only take a peek, right?" Kanon said, bracing himself as he placed his hand on the owl's beak, which served as the door handle.
"What the fuck?"
The moment he put his hands on the gate, it opened by itself, like it was waiting for him to touch it, completely startling him.
At first, he was surprised, but seeing what was on the other side of the door, he was relieved.
"Bloody hell, that scared the crap out of me."
Right then, two blue-coloured screens appeared in front of him, stating…
{You have acquired the title 'Master of the Door.'
You have acquired the title: 'Traveller of Worlds.'}
"Again?" He stared at the blue screen.
"Did the system come back?" he wondered.
Looking closely at it, he noticed this screen wasn't translucent like the previous one.
Kanon, for now, decides to ignore the screen and proceeds to look inside the door. As soon as he stepped inside the door, another blue screen appeared in front of him.
{You have acquired the Skill: 'Appraisal.'
You have acquired the title: 'First Time Travelling to Another World.'
You have acquired the title: 'Master of the House.'}
"..."
"Holy shit," Kanon couldn't believe it. He just got the skill appraisal, the one skill that might be the most used and famous in fantasy genre anime, novels, and manga.
He was excited to get this skill and wanted to try it out. He instantly used the skill and looked at his cheat, 'The Door to Another World.'
{Door to Another World:
A door that was given to Kanon Grandsley as compensation. The door has the capability to connect with other worlds. The door is connected by the soul to the one who held the title 'Master of the Door.' No one can utilise the door's function unless the master of the door allows it. The door cannot be destroyed.
User: Kanon Grandsley
Ability: Asset Conversion
Transfer
Entrance Control}
"Asset Conversion, Transfer, and Entrance Control," he watched the doors' features with a gaping mouth.
It seems this door held more features than expected. "Let's see what each function can do."
I used Appraisal on the options.
{Asset Conversion:
Allows the master of the door to convert any object to currency.
Transfer:
The door can be transferred to any appropriate location, as the master of the door wishes.
Entrance Control:
Only the individuals designated by the master of the door can pass through the door.}
"Interesting, so I can convert any object to money through the door. That's a handy ability to have." Then, with the other ability, I can transport the door to any location I desire. "Another handy ability," I couldn't help but nod my head in appreciation.
And lastly, "access restrictions"—well, with this, he didn't have to worry about someone crossing the door without him knowing.
"Wait, can I use appraisal on myself?" Getting the idea, I immediately tried it.

"What the actual fuck is this?" Kanon couldn't believe what he was seeing.
Taking a deep breath, I looked again at my status, wondering if I was dreaming or not. But after prolonged staring, it became clear I wasn't dreaming after all. I had a wide smile now.
I stared at the skills.

Kanon was quite elated while reading through the skill descriptions, especially noticing the item box, for which he had only one word: broken. However, as he read the description of the last skill, his smile disappeared.
"So, it wasn't a coincidence after all," his thoughts raced.
[Seven sources?] According to his memories, there was only one character who had seven sources.
Was he Kanon from that anime? The thought occurred to him.
He shook his head. That didn't make sense. If that were the case, he should have memories of Kanon, which he clearly didn't, except for the anime, that is.
Then what about his memories? Were they real? It was deeply disturbing for him. He had previously spent days in depression over those same memories of the loss of his family. But now he can't be sure about those memories.
Taking another deep breath, he calmed himself; panicking would solve nothing. And he also can't be sure about whether his memories are fake.
For now, he is who he is.
He then decided to take a look at the magic.
{Fate Magic:
Enables the user to manipulate causality.
Source Magic:
Enables the user to manipulate the sources.}
"Fate magic? I had no idea Kanon had that," he was surprised.
As for the source magic, "It did match with my memories," he glared, if he was able to use this magic as in the anime. It might give him the answer he needs. He sighed and decided to look into it later.
He then looked at the place he had found himself.
It looks like he was in someone's house. Whose house exactly, he has no idea.
"Hmmm… Wasn't there that title I got about this house?" he remembered.
"Well, let's look around first."
Kanon began to explore the house. He discovered two bedrooms, a fairly large kitchen, a spacious bathroom, and the hall where he first appeared. While searching, he noticed a letter resting on the table next to the cabinet.
I picked up the letter and attempted to read it, but the strange characters it was written in were incomprehensible to me.
"Probably this is the language of this world."
Just when he was wondering what to do about the language. Another blue screen appeared in front of him.
{You have acquired the Skill: 'Language Comprehension.'}
"..."
Was this the effect of Skill Absorption? he wondered.
{Language Comprehension:
Enables the user to understand, speak, and write any language.}
"..."
The description made my lips twitch, because this skill single-handedly made my grinding of learning languages useless.
"Damnit, hours upon hours wasted by this skill." I was on the ground, coping with the reality.
Noticing the letter in my hand, I remembered what I was doing and attempted to read it. This time, the characters made sense to me, so I read through the entire text.
To summarise, the previous owner of this house had decided to part with this cabin because his life was soon to come to an end. Because he had no family, if anyone found this house, he would give that person ownership, along with everything inside the house. The registration of ownership was also updated somehow, with the power of magic, such that it wouldn't be possible for anyone other than the owner to enter the house.
"So, this house is mine now?"
