Chapter 8 - Chapter 7: Rescuing Enoch

Startled by Horn's cloth-covered face, Reaves was so surprised that he didn't notice Horn's mouth murmuring!

In an instant, Horn had completed the spell, which was Lightning Touch!

His body was pinned down, and he couldn't take out the walnut staff in his bosom to cast a third-ring spell. However, for a first-ring spell, he could cast it even while being restricted.

Lightning Touch could be released not only from the palm but also from any part of the body.

Pale blue lightning flashed from Horn's shoulder. Caught off guard, Reaves was electrocuted and paralyzed for a moment, and he stopped suppressing Horn with his gale.

As a third-level divine spellcaster, Reaves had some resistance to alien energy. A mere first-ring lightning spell couldn't make him faint like those cavalrymen.

But it didn't need to render him completely incapacitated. The ability to move was enough for Horn.

Horn took a few steps back and took out the staff given to him by Douglas. He uttered a few strange syllables from his mouth, and a fireball the size of a human head was launched from the tip of the small wooden stick. By this time, no matter how amazing Reaves' reaction ability was, it was too late for him to dodge!

The fireball had taken shape, and there was no escape!

Seeing that he couldn't dodge, Reaves stopped making futile attempts. He vigorously mobilized the divine power in his body. The invisible wind in front of him became tangible and condensed into a shield of green gale!

This was Reaves' most powerful defensive skill, the third-ring divine spell, the Shield of the North Wind!

The fireball, carrying violent heat, slammed into the green Shield of the North Wind and exploded violently. The scattered flames ignited the surrounding civilian houses. Although Reaves, who was at the center of the explosion, didn't die because of the Shield of the North Wind, he lost his combat ability. He knelt weakly in the remaining flames, and a faint breeze circled around him, providing him with the last bit of protection.

Reaves was seriously injured, but Horn, who was very close, wasn't hurt at all.

Firstly, as the caster, Horn had a certain degree of control over the spells he cast.

Secondly, the robe given to Horn by Douglas blocked a large part of the high temperature of the flames!

In the scattered flames, Horn's black robe embroidered with gold and silver thread patterns fluttered wildly under the remaining gale of Reaves. Coupled with his extremely terrifying face, the onlookers from the North Wind Church were actually a bit stunned.

And not far away, the... whose magic power was exhausted
