Although Chiga hadn't activated his Rinnegan at the time, Violet instantly recognized the man she had long admired — the Navy Admiral, Uchiha Chiga.
She froze, unable to believe her eyes.
Chiga also recognized her by her attire. She was Violet, Princess of Dressrosa. However, judging by her reaction, she seemed far more familiar with him than he expected, which left him slightly puzzled.
Robin, standing beside him, nudged his side gently and whispered into his ear,
"Chiga sama, who is she? She seems to know you."
Chiga quietly revealed Violet's identity. Robin, upon hearing this, studied Violet curiously, subtly comparing herself to her. Both of them shared the allure of the mature "older sister" type. Robin couldn't definitively say who was more attractive — they each had their own charms.
Seeing Violet standing there in a daze, Chiga took the initiative to approach her, keeping her identity to himself. He simply greeted her politely,
"Miss, I don't believe we've met. Perhaps you're mistaking me for someone else?"
Violet snapped out of her thoughts and looked closely at his face. Her eyes shimmered with disbelief as she said slowly,
"No… you're the Purple Kirin Admiral."
Chiga raised an eyebrow with interest. Feigning surprise, he responded,
"That's quite the compliment, but I'm afraid you're mistaken. I admire the Admiral as well, but I'm not him. Just look at my eyes — do they resemble the Rinnegan?"
Violet faltered. Now that he was closer, she realized something was off. The newspaper had described Admiral Purple Kirin as nearly three meters tall, while this man stood no taller than two meters.
Even if eye color could be changed with something like colored lenses, his height clearly didn't match. Still, the resemblance was uncanny... and then there was the small horn on his forehead — was that just a fashion accessory?
Unable to resist, she activated her Glare-Glare Fruit ability, trying to read his thoughts.
But Chiga, already aware of her ability, was ready. Even without his eyes activated, his Genjutsu skills were formidable. He had embedded a simple mental illusion to protect his identity. What Violet perceived confirmed only that he was telling the truth — or at least, what she thought was the truth.
Realizing she had been mistaken, Violet sighed in disappointment.
Chiga stepped in with a gentle tone.
"Seems you truly mistook me for someone else. My name is Kage Danzo. I'm just here sightseeing with a few friends. You must be a local, right? By any chance… are you a fan of Admiral Purple Kirin?"
Fan? Violet repeated inwardly.
Yes, she admired the Admiral. But her feelings went beyond admiration...
Still, she nodded silently.
Seeing her response, Chiga smiled brightly.
"That's great! Since we're both fans, could I trouble you to be our guide? I'm not too familiar with Dressrosa."
Violet was about to decline, but seeing that familiar face — even under a different name — she couldn't say no. The words caught in her throat, only to come out as:
"Alright… I don't have anything urgent to do. I can show you around."
"Haha! As expected from the warm-hearted people of Dressrosa. I haven't even asked your name yet — would you mind sharing it?"
"Violet."
She answered without hesitation. It didn't matter if "Danzo" was a local or a visitor — her name wasn't a secret. Besides, she wasn't really a princess anymore… she was now just a pawn in someone else's hands.
The thought brought a flash of sadness to her face.
Chiga noticed and asked softly,
"Miss Violet, you look troubled. Is something bothering you?"
The genuine concern in his voice, paired with the familiar features of the man she dreamed about, made Violet drop her guard.
She hesitated, then quietly opened up — though she left out Doflamingo's name.
"Someone I care about has been taken. To get them back, I'm being forced to give up something extremely valuable… I just don't know what to do anymore."
Chiga immediately understood — the person behind this was likely Doflamingo. But what was the thing of value she was referring to? Was there some treasure hidden in Dressrosa?
Though curious, he kept his expression serious, his tone filled with righteous anger.
"That's terrible. What happened to justice?"
"Justice? Hah…" Violet chuckled bitterly.
There was a law in Dressrosa, sure — but it was Doflamingo's law. His word was absolute.
Chiga pressed further,
"Who's behind this? I know a few officers in the Navy. I might be able to help."
Violet smiled sadly. There was no way a man named Kage Danzo could stand up to Doflamingo — not unless he were Uchiha Chiga himself.
And her Glare-Glare powers had already told her he wasn't.
Still, she stared at his face. Part of her wished she were wrong. But that was just a fantasy.
With another soft sigh, she said,
"I appreciate your kindness. But this is something I'll have to handle myself. I'm hoping things will turn around eventually."
Chiga knew pushing further might raise suspicion. Keeping up his act, he put on a regretful expression and said,
"Alright. Then… shall we continue our little sightseeing trip?"
"Of course. I won't let my troubles ruin your day. Dressrosa has many wonderful places. There's a gladiator tournament happening at the Corrida Colosseum — want to check it out?"
"A tournament? That sounds exciting. Then I'll leave it to Miss Violet to show us the way."
