Chapter 21 - CHAPTER 21:The Day My Fear Bloomed into Courage

While I was choosing a flower to gift Lu, a spike pricked my hand and it started bleeding. I screamed. Hearing me, Liang and Zhichen rushed over and saw the blood dripping from my palm. Zhichen quickly went to get the first aid box while Liang blew on my hand gently. That's when she noticed something—despite the blood, I hadn't fainted.

I was in pain, but Liang was smiling. I looked at her and said, "Hey Liang, why are you laughing when I'm hurt?"

She was stunned for a moment, then smiled widely and said, "Qin… your phobia… it's gone."

I looked down at my hand again. Blood. But… nothing. No dizziness. No panic. Tears welled up as I hugged Liang tightly.

Zhichen returned with the first aid kit and paused in confusion at the sight of us laughing and crying while hugging.

Liang said, "Qin, it's finally over. You're free now. You don't have to be scared of the past anymore."

I nodded happily. "I'm going to see Lu."

She smiled and waved. I handed the money to Zhichen and left with the flowers.

Zhichen, still confused, turned to Liang and asked, "She's hurt… but why does she look so happy?"

Facing the doorway, Liang whispered, "The wound in her heart is finally healed." Then she waved and walked away.

At the hospital, I waited outside Lu's consultation room. When the patient before me left, I stepped inside, holding the bouquet in front of my face.

Lu didn't notice. "Next patient," he called.

I walked up to him and slowly lowered the flowers from my face. He looked up, surprised.

"Qin? What are you doing here? These flowers… they're beautiful."

I smiled and showed him my wounded hand. "Look."

His brows furrowed with concern. "What happened?"

"A spike pricked me when I was choosing flowers," I said. I watched his expression closely—but he didn't seem to realize.

Then he gently applied disinfectant, his hands pausing when he saw the blood. His eyes widened as he looked up.

"Wait… really?"

I nodded. "Yes, Lu. It's gone. I'm not afraid anymore."

He stood up and wrapped me in a warm hug. "Qin… you're finally cured. I'm so happy for you."

I patted his back. "Mr. Doctor, this happened because of your treatment. All credit goes to you."

He chuckled—and kissed my forehead.

Just then, a nurse opened the door, saw us, and quietly slipped away without a word.
