"What's the plan?" Matthew gathered everyone in the lobby.
"Berith said he'd not fight. So I guess we have a chance after all." Catherine gave them a sad smile.
"We could abandon our position." The senior military office present said.
"No. We have a chance to drive the Red Rider away. I say we try our luck." Matthew said.
"We don't have the men to do it." The soldier protested.
"How long until reinforcements arrive?" Geovanna asked.
"3 hours." The soldier operating the radio informed.
"We can't hold it for 3 hours." Catherine said.
"We just need to defeat their king." Matthew interjected. "I can slip through their defenses and take the king out."
"Can you do it?" The senior soldier asked.
"We can." Matthew asserted, looking at Faynn who nodded at him. "You just need to hold long enough to give us an opportunity to take him out."
The soldier looked at the others and their faces showed faith in the young man.
