POV - Kyas
In fact… Kyas has been acting fully as Alpha for the last two years. He's only missing the title. He's been working closely with me, never even realizing that he was in training the entire time.
My choice for Alpha is Kyas."
"Holy Goddess of Mercy, are you serious?" I asked.
"Completely serious, Kyas, if you want it." Alpha said.
"It's the same thing I've been doing?" I asked.
"Yes, with the addition of the ceremonies like inductions, pup inclusions, and weddings, and leading the pack runs." Alpha said.
"I… Love… My…Job. It's the extension of the love for my pack, the ability to care for them. I wouldn't trade a thing. You mean I could do this all the time???" I asked.
The room laughed.
I am shocked, and excited… there are so many possibilities with the pack… focus..
"I, Kyas Blaze-Twilight, will accept the position of Alpha, pending the approval of this council."
"If I get a vote," Gamma Chris said. "I vote yes, but acknowledge my bias of a good friend."
"As do I, council," Beta Scott agreed. "Kyas is very easy to work with and I look forward to continuing to do so, if he decides to keep me on as Beta. I vote yes."
"I've always thought Kyas would make an excellent choice. Even once a month he showed great aptitude for it." Jasper said. "I vote yes."
"I believe Alpha has made a good choice. He thought it out well and I believe his choice in Kyas is justified and reasonable." Harvey said. "I vote yes."
"I believe that Alpha has always been fair minded and open about his thought process with us. He's always acknowledged where his soft spots were regarding his sons. I feel like Kyas is just like his father, and will be just as good an Alpha." Eileen said. "I vote yes."
'I vote yes too.' Chaos said.
I had to stifle a laugh, I would so get in trouble for laughing during the vote.
'It's settled then, Alpha Chaos has spoken, No more vote needed.' I sent back.
'Muahaha.' Chaos said.
'Stop it! You're going to get me in trouble!' I sent back.
'If he doesn't get you in trouble, I will.' sent Sir.
'Stop, this is serious.' I sent.
'But I want to.' Sir said.
'I want ya'll to hush, maybe the council will say nice things about you too.' I tried.
'Not likely, I'm awful. You say you hate me all the time.' Sir sent.
So close… 'Stop!' I sent.
'Make me.' Sir said.
'Yeah, make us.' Chaos said.
'Just wait till I get that Alpha command, you'll get it.' I threatened.
'Won't work, I out rank you, even as Alpha.' Sir said.
'You can't command me anyway, I'll get em same as you and I'm your wolf.' Chaos said.
"I think Kyas makes an excellent choice as Alpha. I've alwa-" Darcy said.
I raised my hand. "One moment."
I exited the room and went down the hall so hopefully the council didn't hear me and I lost it.
'I hate you both.' I said.
I returned the room.
"Apologies, council. A small matter required my attention." I said.
"As I was saying, Kyas is a good choice, I've always liked him.' Darcy finished. "I vote yes."
'Me too.' Sir said.
'Yeah, me too.' Chaos said.
'Quiet.' I told them.
"I… can't." Clara said. "I just can't." The room looked confused. Clara got up from the table and approached me and pulled me into a surprisingly very strong hug. I hugged her back. She stood there for a few minutes and I let her. "I have wanted to do that since you were fifteen, Kyas, and make up for all the hugs you missed before that. The fact that you're still such a wonderful person after everything you've gone through, I have full faith you'll be the best Alpha." She said. "I vote yes."
'She smells nice.' Chaos said.
'She won't smell so nice when Ember kicks your ass.' Sir sent.
'She won't kick my ass, she'll kick his, I'm safe.' Chaos said.
