Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

*Your power level is insufficient*

Please increase the level of your magic core

Current Level: zero

----

The levels/rank of magic core were actually defined by their colors. But it was too hard for youngsters to understand, So they divided it on basis of level 1 to 5. Level one was starting point of a mage and Level 5 was peak. Levels beyond 5 were just mere legends. Each level was further classified into four stages: Initial, Mid, Upper, and Peak. This was a very simple and easy classification. But, reaching Level 5 was no easy feat. Only one in a hundred thousand mage could reach Level 5. In the current era, the world had 36 Level 5 mage. This number might seem too much, but this world was very dense. There were only 5 continents, but each of them was size if a planet, having billions of people in it. In such a vast and magical world, who would even try to find out it's population count? This was precisely where the reader needs to pay attention. Although the mages were considered strongest beings in this world, but they were absolute beings after all. Especially when they were so small in count. Becoming a mage was as rare becoming a pilot or a very skilled surgeon in our world. Maybe not very special but still something not everyone can do.

"How do I increase that? I uhh I don't have a master for that" Virelith said.

"Fool! You already have a great master" The voice replied

"Who? Who are you talking about?"

"It's me of course" The voice seemed little angry even from the texts. "Close your eyes, I will bestow you the mana gathering technique in your head."

Although the texts in mid air looked very artificial and weird, they gave Virelith a sense of closeness and frienddhip.

As soon as he closed his eyes, vast amount of knowledge entered his in head out of nowhere.

Speech and Amazed, but could not find any words to say.

He suddenly sat cross legged, closing his eyes, focusing on his Level zero magic core.

When the Dragon God bestowed his bloodline to beings of this world, he did not do any partiality. He bestowed it to every being, however by time the bloodlines in many beings got weaker or in some cases it even extincted. But still, most of the beings even in the level of extinction of bloodline, still possessed the traces if bloodline. Which was enough to give them traits of the bloodline one them was Level zero magic core. This was a very vast topic, the reader will understand by time itself.

------

After an hour

Virelith suddenly spat out blood. He full of fear was feeling helplessness without knowing what to do? Is he going to die.

"Tsk tsk, poor child do not worry. This is just the waste of your life force. Accumulated over past 8 years by all kinds of actions. You were just too weak that it came with your blood through your mouth. It could still be considered fatal, tsk tsk. I should have provided you a meal before this. Currently, I only 10 copper coins. Go buy yourself a meal" This time the voice came in his head instead of the texts, as he was just too weak to even read for now.

It took him 10 minutes just to get up and regain full consciousness.

"Te-ten copper coins? You are teasing me right?"

Ten copper coins was more than his whole family's net worth.

"Do not get over yourself and go buy something for you" The text replied.

Virelith too happy, full of emotions, ran to the chicken shop. He always wanted to try, but he never had money for it. This could be considered his happiest day in his life, by him.

----

After buying the chicken, he started the mana gathering again. This time there was no backlash. He gathered mana so smoothly. This method of mana gathering was very simple. The whole world contained mana in different forms. One just have to gather this mana and covert it into their own, however this required specific arts, which were only in the possession of mages. Mages however often passed these techniques/arts to their disciples or their children. It was their free will. Some mages due to urgency of need or greed even sell the arts of their own family. It was not very common but wasn't considered an evil act, as this was their own free will. However, the rulers of the nations, often provided some basic techniques for a very low price in nagic academy for talented students. The number of students to get admitted were always limited, thus creating corruption. Also, this "very low" price was still many times more than total fortune of any poor family.
