Shockingly Virelith wasn't in his hut. He found himself in a garden, a very large garden. It was large to the point one could mistaken it for a forest.
"Where am I? Wasn't I in my house" Emotions were flowing in his heart, yet he could not identify them specifically. Suddenly few text came in front of him out if thin air, they were floating right in front of his face, as if they were telling him something. Unfortunately, Virelith was just a child from slum. How could he know how to read or write.
Suddenly the characters (letters) started rotating, like a whirlpool. They formed a line and clashed with Virelith's forehead.
"Oh, what is this" He gained some understanding of the characters.
"Royal blood? What does that signifies? Is it talking about the king of our nation? And why is it telling me that I am the successor of it"
A voice came out of nowhere. The voice was pitch less, just like the voice in our mind. However it sounded very calm, as if it's words itself could heal a soul. Refreshing, very refreshing.
"Child do not worry, I won't harm you. Although I have chosen you as my successor, you are still too young to know anything, indeed too young. Considering that it is our first meet, I will grant your one wish. Ask me for anything you desire."
Virelith half confused, couldn't even process what was going on here. As he thought it was just a dream. But how could he think freely and move freely in his dream, and everything seemed just too real for a dream. Out of fear, he even hesitated to touch a leaf. Who knows what would happen the very next second.
"I uhh I... I wish to become a mage" Virelith said with hesitation, dear and confusion.
"Hmm... Why is that?" The voice asked
"So I can earn money and stop the daily arguments between my parents" Virelith said.
"I have granted you a little fraction of fraction of my talent. With this you can develop a magic core and fulfil your dream." The voice sounded serious but also sarcastic at the same time.
"Wh-what are you talking about?" Virelith was dumbfounded.
"Didn't the old man already told you? Child, you already posses a fraction of fraction of my talent" The voice said.
"You mean the old saint?" Virelith asked
"Hmph! Saint? He is just an old beggar, nothing more. It is no gain but harm for you to keep talking I will send you back. My servant Shadow Spirit will guide you to become a mage. Go!"
Suddenly like a wind struck to Virelith, he had to close his eyes due to the pressure of the wind. When he reopened his eyes, he found himself in his house, a leaking roof made of corroded metal scraps.
"This is... My house. I am back. What a strange dream it was. Huh? It's still dark outside. But it should be morning now that I have slept already"
Out of nowhere, a voice sounded in his head again. "Oh, so you are the one my master choose?"
Virelith dumbfounded again "Wh-who are you? Come out.. "
"No need to worry, I am inside your mind. A part of your consciousness" The voice responded.
"Can you speak slowly? My head hurts" Virelith said.
"Oh god, before anything. You need to learn how to read and write, so we can communicate. Sit down, cross your legs and close your eyes. I will pass on the basic knowledge of reading and writing of languages of this world to you"
Virelith followed the commands of the voice. The same feeling as before, a vast amount of knowledge suddenly getting in his head. He was no longer dumbfounded. A kid from slums, suddenly possessing knowledge of almost every language in this world. Where was heard of? Can even magic do something so miraculous? Or dark magic?
"Good, now I won't need to scream in your head"
Out of nowhere, the similar scene. Some words appeared in air in front of Virelith. But this time, surprisingly, he could understand what was written there. Miraculous.
The words written:
"Welcome, the successor of ------ . This is the beginning of your journey. Dominate every world, and return the glory to your predecessor"
"What.... " Again dumbfounded Virelith. His face was quite a view. Hilarious!
