Chapter 9 - Drain Her Blood Until It's All Gone

"You dare hit me?" Jackson wiped the corner of his lips. When he saw the bloodstains on his palms, his anger intensified. His face is flushed, the veins on his neck clearly defined. His eyes burned with a fierce glare, as if Shane was the prey he was ready to strike.

"Why should I be afraid?" Shane threw another punch, but it was blocked by Jackson.

Jackson's naps were ravenous. The rage in his chest had completely consumed him. He returned Shane's punch. His punch was so hard that Shane was knocked backward and fell to the floor. Jackson's punch mark on his temple left a scar. Shane's temple looked bloody.

"Shit!" Shane cursed. His head ached from the blow. He didn't expect Jackson to be so powerful. He thought Jackson was just a cowardly man who always stood behind his guards. It turned out that he had underestimated Jackson.

"Shane, are you okay?" Grace approached. She was very worried about Shane's current condition. Just one punch from Jackson had knocked him out.

Grace tried to help Shane get to his feet. However, Jackson immediately pulled her by force. Half dragged Grace away from Shane, who was still lying on the hospital floor.

"Let go of me, Jack! You're so cruel!" Grace rebelled; she tried to break Jackson's grip on her arm, but she was outmatched. The more she rebelled, the more Jackson gripped her.

"You don't deserve to say those words from your mouth. There is no one more cruel than you in this world. If you know this kind of thing hurts, you should never have done that to Claire." Jackson replied coldly but piercingly.

"I never did anything. She's the one who's always looking for me to cause trouble." Grace tried to defend herself.

"Stop putting the blame on others. Claire has been very good to you by not reporting your crimes to the police. You should be thanking her."

"Why would I thank someone who hurt me?"

Jackson stopped walking; he turned to look at Grace with a look of disgust. He laughed sarcastically. "You really don't know yourself. I don't know why there are cruel-hearted women like you in this world. If you had even an ounce of Claire's kindness, I would never have hated you to this extent." Jackson said with emphasis. Every word he said sounded hateful.

Grace was silent. She no longer wanted to argue because whatever she said would never be heard by Jackson. To Jackson, Grace was the devil and Claire the angelic victim. No matter how much she explained, it would all be in vain. Because Jackson would only listen and believe what he wanted to believe.

Jackson again pulled Grace by half dragging. He brought Grace to the doctor who was treating Claire and very roughly pushed Grace into the ward.

"Drain her blood if it will help treat Claire." Jackson said sharply, then left to meet his first love.

Grace froze, staring at Jackson, who was leading her to her death. She stared at his back with a look so cold. She couldn't even cry anymore because she had spent too many tears on Jackson. Now the eyes of her heart opened very wide. She never thought that she could survive these three years with a man as cruel as Jackson.

"You're really stupid, Grace. Look at this man you've loved for a dozen years. He just thinks of you as trash. Is that the man you've been chasing all this time? Why are you so stupid?" Grace said to herself. If this continued, she would die.

"Aw! Can't you do it a little more gently?" Grace felt pain in her arm as the doctor stuck the needle in very roughly. She was in a lot of pain.

The doctor just gave her a glance, then exhaled sarcastically. Even the doctor didn't want to appreciate her at all. Who would respect her if she never respected herself? Jackson had rejected her a thousand times, treated her very rudely, openly hated her, and also showed love to Claire. If Grace valued herself, she wouldn't have come this far.

Grace began to feel very dizzy; her vision began to fog up and spin around. Losing so much blood made her condition even worse. If the blood was taken again, not only would her pregnancy be in trouble, but her life would be in danger!

Grace tried to stay awake, but she wasn't that strong, and her consciousness faded as her blood continued to drain.

The door to the room opened violently all of a sudden. Shane finally appeared after recovering his strength. With a fierce face, he approached. He stared at the doctor with a murderous gaze.

"Stop this blood transfusion or I'll finish you. Not only will I finish you, I'll wipe out your entire family." Shane said sharply.

The doctor laughed at Shane's threat. He thought he would continue to be safe as long as he obeyed what Claire said. Claire was so protected by Jackson, it would automatically protect him as well. Whatever he wanted to do, no one could stop him.

"Who do you think you are?" The doctor wasn't scared at all; instead, he returned the sharp gaze Shane gave him.

"I never mess with my words." Shane said with emphasis. He moved closer, grabbed a knife from the nightstand, and pointed it at the doctor's neck.

"I know which vital part to cut. You'll die instantly if I cut your neck with this." Shane threatened by pressing the sharp side of the knife against the man's neck.

"Mr. Jackson will be furious if he finds out you're interfering with my work. His lover is the most important thing to him. If he finds out you're interfering, he'll finish you off." The doctor threatened back.

"You think I don't have the power and strength to fight him? I could kill you right now." Shane began to press the knife into the doctor's neck.

The doctor began to tremble because the knife was really at his vital point. If Shane was really desperate, then he would really die.

"O-okay. I'll take this off." The doctor said nervously and trembled. His heart was beating very fast. His breathing was ragged with panic. His hands trembled as he removed the blood transfusion device from Grace's arm.
