"Matt, why are you here?" Kang asked in surprise, looking at the man who had suddenly appeared to help block the incoming attack.
The person standing before him wasn't the "Tosen Yaoi" that Ichimaru Gin had mentioned, but Matt Murdock—Daredevil of Hell's Kitchen.
However, this Matt looked nothing like the Daredevil from other universes. In fact, he resembled Tosen Yaoi from the Soul Society in the Bleach dimension more than his multiversal variants.
The only notable difference: Tosen wore a white eye mask, while Matt's was blood-red—perfectly matching his identity as Daredevil.
"Ichimaru Gin, I know you… but I won't allow you to destroy Hell's Kitchen," Matt said coldly, facing off against the otherworldly intruder.
"You go ahead, Mr. Kang. Leave this to me."
Kang didn't argue. He had more important things to handle and believed that Matt was more than capable. Even if he failed, Kang was confident that Alex Ray would intervene.
Without another word, Kang turned and left—a silent understanding between warriors.
Ichimaru Gin watched Kang's retreating figure, a trace of confusion flickering in his eyes.
He didn't try to stop him. Instead, he silently observed the man now standing in his path—Matt.
Even though he knew this Matt wasn't the Tosen Yaoi from his memories, seeing a face so similar stirred something deep inside. Memories of that other world—the world of death—came rushing back.
The comrades he once fought alongside. The partners who had trusted him. The enemies he had slain. And… the one he had loved most.
It all resurfaced.
But what puzzled Ichimaru more than anything was this place—Hell's Kitchen. Why did it keep pulling elements from the Soul Society? What kind of power allowed this to happen?
His eyes locked onto Matt's face, and he asked sharply, "How did you obtain the powers of a Soul Reaper? Is this because of Alex Ray?"
This time, Matt didn't remain silent like Kang before him.
He replied slowly, his tone touched with faint reverence: "Alex Ray? I don't know him personally. But if you mean our Alex Ray—he's our leader. He's the one who granted me this power. Leave now, and I won't lay a hand on you—for his sake."
When he heard the name Alex Ray, something stirred violently inside him. A desire—no, a need—to meet this man.
His instincts screamed that if there was any chance to escape the Main God Space, Alex Ray would be the key.
Although the Main God Space had saved his life, it meant nothing without her. He had been searching for her ever since.
Matt only revealed Alex Ray's name because he still believed Shiyinwan had some humanity left. A kindness from one warrior to another.
Just as Ichimaru was about to lower his blade and talk, a cold and mechanical voice shattered the moment:
[WARNING! WARNING!]Reincarnator has been detected to be passive in combat. Please complete your assigned mission immediately or face erasure.
Helplessness flickered across Ichimaru's face, quickly replaced by icy resolve. In this brutal world, rules were absolute—and personal feelings could only be buried deep.
He looked at Matt, smiling with a trace of apology and ruthlessness: "I wish we could've talked more. But I need to test your strength—to see if your power shames ours. I'm sorry, Matt. We'll have to finish this conversation another time."
Before the words had fully left his mouth, Ichimaru Gin vanished like a specter. He reappeared behind Matt in a blink, his blade glinting like lightning as it sliced toward Matt's vital points.
Though blind, Matt's instincts were honed to razor sharpness. As Ichimaru's sword closed in, Matt twisted his body with supernatural precision—blocking the attack with his own blade at an impossible angle.
Their weapons clashed with a sharp metallic clang, the echo ringing out like a war drum.
Matt was stunned. Why had Ichimaru been ready to retreat—only to suddenly attack?
But there was no time for questions. An enemy was striking—he had no choice but to retaliate.
Matt exhaled and launched into a flurry of brutal counterattacks. Every swing of his sword sliced the air, aimed directly at Ichimaru's pressure points.
But Ichimaru Gin moved like a shadow—ghosting left and right, his silver blade leaving glowing trails in the air. Each movement intersected with Matt's blade, causing dazzling sparks to burst with every clash.
Their powers met in perfect balance. The tiniest misstep from either side would tip the scales decisively.
The real battle had only just begun. Their destinies, hanging by a thread, could be severed at any moment.
Ichimaru's cold-blooded efficiency and Matt's relentless tenacity were on full display.
They darted across Hell's Kitchen like living phantoms, their steel-on-steel collisions forming a symphony of war.
Elsewhere in Hell's Kitchen, more fighters were locked in battles of their own.
Doflamingo, the reincarnated warlord from the pirate world, was dueling with Master Liam Young, who wielded a combat style built on the template of Fujitora.
Pietro Maximoff—Quicksilver—was squaring off against Enel, a reincarnator who possessed the power of the Thunder-Thunder Fruit.
Meanwhile, Uchiha Madara from the Naruto universe clashed with the brutal force of Kingpin.
Madara's Sharingan met Kingpin's unyielding brute strength—an epic collision of perception versus power.
Voldemort, displaced from the Harry Potter world, was less fortunate. He encountered Magneto, who manipulated a swarm of metal debris that overwhelmed the dark lord before he could even begin casting. Voldemort died without glory, crushed beneath Magneto's will.
Hell's Kitchen had become a war zone—dimensional invaders, reincarnated warriors, and native defenders colliding in chaotic violence. Every fight, a spark. Every spark, a storm.
But the chaos wasn't confined to the dimensional pocket version of Hell's Kitchen. On Earth—Hell's Kitchen proper—more reincarnators emerged.
One figure stood at the edge of a rooftop, eyes narrowing.
"I can sense them… The Vongola Family. So, they exist here too."
