"Isn't Alex Ray right behind him? Can't he see him?"
The Avengers stood at a distance, watching in confusion as Thanos continued to brutalize his own alien troops. What they were seeing didn't match what Thanos was experiencing. In Thanos' eyes, he was pummeling Alex Ray.
Doctor Strange offered an explanation: "This is Alex's illusion magic—Senbonzakura Kageyoshi. What you see and what he sees are entirely different."
As soon as he finished, the Avengers broke into shocked gasps.
They were stunned by Alex's ability—and even more disturbed by the consequences of such power being used unchecked.
"If he used that on us," Steve muttered grimly, "we'd probably end up killing each other."
"Is there any way to defend against it?" Tony Stark immediately jumped in, his mind already racing. "Thermal imaging? My satellite system? Maybe there's some tech that can counteract magic…"
"Is this really magic, though?" Doctor Strange frowned. "I don't sense any mystical fluctuations."
"Is there anything Alex can't do?" Natasha exclaimed. "He's like a damn omnipotent god."
Strange fell into thought.
Yes, that's always been the case with Alex Ray. He had known it since their college days—nothing ever seemed to stump him. Was it even possible for a person to be born knowing everything?
His train of thought was cut short when he noticed Wanda sulking off to the side.
"Well... maybe Alex doesn't understand women," Strange mused smugly. "Yeah, that's it. He's not as good as me when it comes to women!" He chuckled to himself.
At that moment, Alex touched his nose, looking slightly embarrassed. He didn't know who was talking about him behind his back, but that sneeze—small as it was—created a subtle ripple that betrayed his presence.
In the shadows, Thanos' purple eyes narrowed. He had sensed the distortion in space. Illusions weren't his specialty, but the Soul Stone had given him heightened perception. That sneeze tipped the scales.
His mind snapped to clarity. He'd been deceived.
Fury erupted in Thanos. He let out a thunderous roar that shook the air, his voice booming across the battlefield.
He had realized something crucial: No matter how fiercely he attacked, Alex always managed to evade him with ease. And now, the frustration tipped into madness.
Thanos' eyes gleamed with cold rage. He decided it was time for the ultimate solution.
If Alex Ray wanted to play games—then Thanos would just annihilate the entire Earth. Let's see where he could hide then. Surely, Alex wouldn't abandon the humans. Or those pesky little spiders.
"You damn insect! Is this all you're capable of?" Thanos roared. "Fine—then the entire planet will die with you!"
Purple light burst from his body like a supernova, flooding the darkness. This time, he was channeling the full wrath of the Power Stone.
He inhaled deeply, pouring every ounce of his might into his right arm. The arm swelled, brimming with energy, seeming to tear through the very fabric of space.
Alex observed the escalation, his expression turning solemn.
He understood the gravity of the moment.
This was no ordinary attack. Portal tricks and Space Stone teleportation wouldn't save him now. Not even Mirror Dimension manipulation would matter—Thanos' power had grown beyond dimensional boundaries.
This was an attack at the multiversal scale.
Alex hadn't expected this. In the movie timeline, Thanos wasn't the type to go all-out like this. The Mad Titan had always wielded what he called mercy. His goal had been balance, not annihilation.
But this version? This Thanos had been fooled and humiliated one too many times.
And humiliation made monsters desperate.
Alex understood. He wasn't afraid. In fact—he felt exhilarated.
His eyes lit up with pure battlelust.
"Let's see what I'm really made of," Alex said, voice echoing across the battlefield.
Power radiated from him. Magic, energy, and raw force swirled violently.
"Ultra Instinct!"
"Chaos Magic!"
"Dark Magic!"
"Thunder God Form!"
Alex summoned every skill in his arsenal. The ground trembled as arcs of lightning surged around him, colliding with shadows and fire. His silver-white form glowed as he condensed everything into one massive, spinning orb of radiant energy.
It pulsed in his hands, humming like a miniature star, brilliant enough to burn through dimensions.
With a roar, Alex hurled it.
The energy ball streaked through the sky like a divine meteor, locking onto Thanos with unrelenting force.
Thanos had already prepared to strike the Earth with his massive fist, but now, he had to respond. He twisted his body mid-swing, and brought his oversized, stone-infused fist directly into the path of the incoming energy blast.
Fist met force. Titan met god.
And the universe held its breath.
The two collided in an eruption of sound and fury.
A detonation followed—louder than thunder, brighter than the sun. The sky itself seemed to split.
From the epicenter, a shockwave exploded outward, blanketing the battlefield in a searing white light that devoured everything in its path.
For a hundred miles, there was no color. No sound. Only white. Only power.
Thanos' army was swallowed in an instant.
The Avengers braced themselves, shielding their eyes, some falling to the ground.
The light didn't just blind. It erased time and space for that moment.
