Chapter 3 - chapter three : facing the new reality

With the first light of dawn, I woke up in the forest, lying on the cold ground that had been my bed the night before. The wind rustled through the trees, and the sounds of birds slowly began to fill the air, but my mind was elsewhere—still tangled in the thoughts of what had happened to me.

I was now in a strange world, with only five dollars, my phone, and a simple pen. Life here wasn't going to be easy—especially with no shelter and little money—but I wasn't ready to give up.

I remembered the man I met yesterday, the one with the cart, and his promise of work for ten dollars. It was a chance to prove myself, to start a new life, even if the beginning was rough.

I decided to head toward the main market and look for the man to begin working. The road wasn't easy. I had to move carefully, watch people's movements, and avoid any trouble in this unfamiliar world.

As I walked, I noticed the mixed expressions on people's faces—anger, fear, hope. Each of them seemed to carry a story, just like me. That gave me a strange comfort. I wasn't alone. Maybe I could build a life here, no matter how harsh the conditions.

After a long walk, I finally arrived at the workplace. The old cart stood beside the street, and the man I met was there, waiting with a faint smile. This was the moment—I had to prove myself and rely on my own strength in this new world.

I walked up to him and asked, "What exactly do you want me to do?"

He smiled and said, "I'll give you some goods to carry from here to there. It's not a hard job, but you need to be quick and careful. Are you ready?"

I answered confidently, "Yes, I'm ready."
