CHAPTER FOUR
Her relatives didn't make things easier as they hurried with the burial arrangements. Immediately after the burial they shared the Johnson property as he's now a wanted criminal and left Emilia with nothing. The poor girl was to find a new way to survive but she didn't know where to start. Some weeks later without anyone there to console her, she walked around in the streets looking for help, thinking about her life and wishing it was all a bad dream. Then one day an idea came to her mind,she went back to their old house and pleaded with Aunty Philomena to take her in even if as a house help, Aunty Philomena took her in and took good care of her because she had no child. She pampered her so much and Emilia felt loved again. After some years in Aunty Philomenas house. One day Emilia who hasn't been to school for a week was at home doing clean up when some of her classmates came to check on her. When they came they asked her the reason for her absence,she lied and covered up,she told them she was sick. They helped her with her clean up but on doing that Emilias aunty came back but she was happy to see the girls helping Emilia. Emilia on the other hand knew it was all a trick,she knew her aunty was pretending. And when the girls left,the truth was told as Emilias aunty beat her to scum and broke her head with her heels and Left her there in her own pool of blood. Emilia cried for death to come and take her but it never did. After so many years of Emilia being a school drop out and a frustrated house help, she finally had the nerves to run away for good and as God had it,she met her destiny helper on the way who helped her. After years of searching for Emilia, aunty Philomena gave up and assumed she was dead. She started selling food in the streets. She was feeding from hand to mouth. Her daughter kamsi was going to a government school. She hardly paid school fees. One day kamsi came back crying, when her mother asked her the reason for her tears, she said she was sent out of the exam class because she hadn't paid her school fees. Her mum didn't know what to do,she was confused,she remembered that she promised to pay her school fees that week but she was owing the woman that sells rice to her. One night kamsi was sleeping, aunty Philomena woke up around 12:30 am and started praying to God to forgive her for her sins and have mercy. Then one day as it was too good to be true a beautiful black Lexus 350 parked in front of her house and she was surprised because even if someone sold all her family members the person can't buy Lexus 350 with the money made out of it . And she wondered who it might be,and then a young beautiful lady in her late twenties came out of the car and it was Emilia. Aunty Philomena fell on her knees, she was happy God brought her back alive, she was waiting for the day she will see Emilia so she could beg for forgiveness at least to know if things will be better for her. Emilia who was touched that even if aunty Philomena was wicked to her at least she sheltered her for some years. She forgave her immediately, when she saw kamsi, she was very happy, she carried her up and kissed her passionately. After the reconciliation, she told aunty Philomena to close her shop and they went inside . After some months, she bought a house for aunty Philomena and started taking care of kamsi.
