CHAPTER THREE
DADDY LEAVES HOME
As years went by , after the lost of jobs,the family was shattered. The couple tried to get jobs but were never lucky. They quarrelled and fought and the once happy home became a home of fights and quarrels . It was affecting Emilia on the other side. She couldn't get her studies and she lost some sleeps at night, which made her sleep in classes. Then one day when her mum sent her on an errand,she came back only to meet her parents fighting and then out of anger,her father lifted the flower pot and hit his wife on the head and that was it ,she died on the spot and then her father ran away. All this while Emilia just stood there, she couldn't believe it,if only someone will just tell her to wake up, that this was all a bad dream, she would be sooo glad to wake up. She couldn't shout,she did nothing and then she fell. She woke up when their neighbors were talking about what happened. She looked around and noticed she was in the hospital. She was able to ask one of her neighbors Aunty Philomena about her mom. And she was told straight to the point that her mother was in the mortuary,she was Old enough to know about it,she was fourteen afterall. Then her relatives came after receiving the news.
