Chapter 149 - Chapter 149: Doflamingo Problem

Green Bit Island was a paradise of giant flora, dense forests sprawled across the land, uninhabited and wild, forming a stark contrast to Dressrosa on the opposite shore.

Arima used his Kamui technique to effortlessly traverse the waters teeming with aggressive betta fish and reached the heart of this primeval forest.

No sooner had he landed than he and Tsunade, sensitive to Observation Haki, noticed they were surrounded by a group of small humanoid people.

Before any explanation could be offered, the little figures launched an attack on Arima and his companions.

With a sigh, Arima released a slight surge of Conqueror's Haki, instantly intimidating the entire group. The tiny attackers froze mid-action, terrified, unable to move.

Seeing them cowed, Arima withdrew his Haki and explained, "We are visitors from the island across the way, here searching for something."

Sensing his friendly intent, the little people lowered their weapons.

A female member stepped forward and flew directly to Arima, saying, "Outsiders, this is the territory of the Dressrosa Tontatta Kingdom. We expect you to leave immediately!"

Arima replied, "I'm here to find a Devil Fruit. It will only take a short while."

"What kind of Devil Fruit?" she asked.

"The Healing Fruit."

"That's impossible! The Healing Fruit is our clan's treasure. We could never hand it to outsiders. Even if you are powerful, the warriors of the Tontatta tribe are fearless in battle!"

The female leader tightened her grip on her weapon and firmly rejected Arima's request.

The other small people, as if summoned, cheered in agreement with her stance.

Arima stepped back and said, "You may make a demand. As long as it's within my power, I will fulfill it."

"If you can destroy the Donquixote Pirates, we will give you the fruit," the female leader declared confidently.

"Huh? Why this demand? Why not simply trade the treasure for it?"

"Our Tontatta tribe has an ancestral grudge against the Donquixote family… Never mind. Achieve that first, then we can talk," she said, clearly uninterested in further debate.

Tsunade, however, bristled at the slight against her brother. She stepped beside Arima, towering over the female leader.

"We'll take it by force if we must. Do you think you can intimidate us just because we look gentle?"

With that, her presence erupted into a terrifying aura, lightning crackling across her body, threatening to obliterate the entire island.

The female leader stiffened at the display.

At that tense moment, a large group of small people emerged from the forest, surrounding an elderly white-haired little person.

"Cotton, stop this immediately! Nubon, give the fruit to our guest!" the elder shouted.

Cotton moved to block him. "Chief Gancho, Doflamingo has already landed. Soon he'll reenslave the citizens of the Tontatta Kingdom. We must prepare for war, the Healing Fruit cannot be lost!"

Gancho shook his head. "The woman is right. You insist because you think they won't harm us. You don't realize how dangerous our opponents are. Even Doflamingo would only flee in the face of him."

"Oh? Chief Gancho, so you know of our arrival?" Arima asked curiously.

"You are the Five Emperor Arima and Konoha's Tsunade. I've heard of your fame. Please forgive Cotton's indiscretion," Gancho said respectfully.

"No offense taken. We came here on a whim to explore," Arima replied casually.

"Here is the Healing Fruit you seek. Consider it a gift to commemorate your status as a Five Emperor," Gancho ordered, presenting the fruit to Arima.

Arima accepted it without hesitation.

Though Cotton looked displeased, she dared not oppose the Five Emperor's authority.

Arima smiled. "Since I've received your gift, consider us allies. Leave the Donquixote family to us."

Gancho and the others wept with joy. They had prepared for the worst, mutual destruction with the Donquixote family, but Arima's righteous intervention saved them from ruin.

Cotton fluttered to Arima's shoulder, kneeling respectfully. "Forgive my ignorance and rashness, Lord Arima."

"Ha! It's all right, Cotton. Sometimes conflict is the start of friendship. We'll keep in touch," Arima replied warmly.

"Thank you for your generosity!" Cotton wiped her tears and smiled, finally relieved. The nightmare of the Donquixote family had haunted her for too long; now, she could relax.

With the Healing Fruit in hand, Arima was ready to fulfill his promise. After parting with the Tontatta tribe, the group headed straight to the Royal Heights to await Doflamingo.

Along the way, Arima handed the defanged Heal-Heal Fruit to Nono.

Curious, he asked, "Nono, why not the Operation Fruit? Why choose this Healing Fruit?"

The young girl responded resolutely, "I want the power to heal my family's injuries at any time, even if it costs my life."

Everyone hugged the seven-year-old girl, deeply moved by her courage. Robin was particularly touched.

With everyone watching, Nono bit into the fruit.

Immediately, a revolting, intense taste assaulted her senses, her stomach convulsed, and bile surged, overwhelmingly nauseating.

Compared to this, Kushina's dark cooking was a gourmet delight.

Tsunade handed her a cup of water to rinse her mouth, empathizing with the ordeal.

After some time, Nono regained her composure. "I'm now a walking medical kit. I can heal anyone's injuries at any time."

Cheers erupted from the group.

When they reached the Royal Heights, a large crowd had already gathered. King Riku and Doflamingo stood atop the platform.

Riku shouted downward, "I am incompetent. Today I abdicate and officially pass the throne of Dressrosa to Donquixote Doflamingo!"

The crowd erupted in confusion. Many still respected King Riku, seeing Doflamingo, a pirate, as a usurper. Yet some loudly cheered, "Donquixote family! Donquixote family!"

At that moment, Arima transformed into the elderly Uchiha Madara and leapt to the forefront of the plaza. Calmly, he declared, "I do not consent!"

He exuded chakra, pushing back the frontmost crowd.

Doflamingo looked down at the strangely dressed old man. "Old man, who are you?"

"I am but a pitiful old man buried up to his neck. For convenience, call me 'Uchiha Madara.'"

"Uchiha Madara? Hahaha… Old man, what is it you disagree with?"

"You becoming king. I simply cannot abide your scheming and usurping of the throne."

Hearing this, Doflamingo laughed, veins bulging in his forehead, exuding a tidal wave of Conqueror's Haki aimed at Madara.

But Madara countered with even stronger Haki, pressing down on the Donquixote family atop the heights.

Neither side willing to yield, a clash was inevitable.
