Chapter 10 - Tender Kisses

Viktor's son, jace sat beside his father's hospital bed, watching as Viktor's eyes fluttered open. The machines beeping around them seemed to grow quieter as Viktor's gaze locked onto his son.

"Hey, kiddo," Viktor said, his voice weak but full of warmth.

Jace face lit up with relief. "Dad! You're finally awake. How are you feeling?"

Viktor's gaze drifted to the various tubes and wires attached to his body. "I think I'll survive," he said with a faint smile.

As the doctor and nurses came in to check on Viktor, jace waited patiently, his curiosity growing. Once they left, he turned to Viktor and asked, "Dad, do you remember what happened?"

Viktor's expression turned somber, and he closed his eyes, as if trying to recall the events. After a moment, he opened them again and jace saw a mix of fear and determination in their depths.

"I remember... the werewolf," Viktor said, his voice low.

He attacked me, but I survived.

Jace eyes widened.

Viktor's gaze locked onto his son's, a hint of wonder in his eyes. as Viktor's words hung in the air.

....

Matt walked into school, the familiar bell above the entrance jingling as he made his way through the crowded hallway. His coach, Mr. Johnson, spotted him and beckoned him over to the side.

"Matt, my man, what's going on?" Coach Johnson asked, his brow furrowed in concern. "You just bailed on us during the match. We were counting on you to close it out."

Matt hesitated, thinking fast. He couldn't exactly tell his coach about the whole werewolf thing, so he came up with a plausible excuse.

"Hey, Coach, I'm sorry about that. I had a family emergency. My... uh, my grandmother was in an accident, and I had to go take care of her."

Coach Johnson's expression softened. "Oh, man, I'm sorry to hear that. Is everything okay now?"

Matt nodded, feeling a twinge of guilt for lying. "Yeah, she's fine. Thanks for understanding, Coach."

With that, Matt headed to his locker to grab his books for his next class. As he spun the lock combination.

After grabbing his books, Matt headed to class, lost in thought. The bell rang, signaling the start of the period, and Matt took his seat, trying to focus on the lesson at hand.

As the teacher droned on, Matt's phone buzzed in his pocket. He discreetly checked it, seeing a text from Ava: "Hey, meet me for lunch? at the chop n chil spot

Matt and Ava arrived at the Chop N Chill spot, surrounded by the bustling atmosphere of locals grabbing a quick bite. They ordered their food and drinks, and as they waited for their order to arrive, they chatted about their morning.

Ava leaned in, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So, Matt, what's new with you? You've been a bit distant lately."

Matt smiled, feeling a bit self conscious. "Just dealing with some stuff, I guess. Trying to balance school and... yunno other things."

Ava nodded understandingly. "You can talk to me about it, you know. I'm here for you."

Matt appreciated her concern and opened up a bit more about his struggles. As they talked, their food arrived, and they enjoyed their meal together.

At the end of the meal Matt walked Ava home, enjoying the warm sunshine and each other's company.

As they strolled, Matt realized he was having an amazing time with Ava. He felt like he could be himself around her, and that was a refreshing change.

As they walked home arriving at her residence, the atmosphere between them grew more intimate. They shared a kiss under the shade of a tree, the world around them melting away. Ava's eyes sparkled with mischief as she pulled back, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Come in?" she asked, her hand gesturing toward her front door.

Matt's heart skipped a beat. He knew what she was suggesting, and he wasn't sure if he was ready. But he couldn't deny the connection they shared.

"Ava, I..." Matt started to say, his voice trailing off.

Ava's smile faltered for a moment before she leaned in close. "Just come in, Matt.

Matt's curiosity and attraction to Ava won out. He nodded, and together they walked to her front door.

As they entered her home, Matt felt a sense of trepidation mixed with excitement.

Ava's cozy living room is dimly lit, with only soft string lights illuminating the space.

Matt and Ava sit together on her couch, legs touching, hands entwined.

They've been talking for hours, sharing stories, laughter, and dreams.

The atmosphere shifts as their conversation turns gentle, intimate.

Matt's eyes lock onto Ava's, his gaze burning with affection.

Ava's heart skips a beat as Matt's free hand brushes against her cheek, sending shivers down her spine.

He leans in slowly, lips inches from hers...

Their soft kiss sparks tender emotions, deepening

As they kiss, Matt's hand gently cradles Ava's face, his thumb stroking her skin.

Ava's arms wrap around his neck, pulling him closer as their lips move in perfect sync.

The kiss slows, and they break apart for a soft breath as Matt's eyes burn with intensity:

Matt's lips brush against her forehead, then trail down to her cheek, neck...

Ava shivers delightfully, her hands sliding into his hair.

Suddenly, Matt pulls back slightly, his eyes locking onto hers:

"Can I stay here tonight...to just hold you?"

Ava's eyes sparkle with affection as she gently brushes hair behind Matt's ear:

"I want you to stay...

Matt's expression turns serious

Ava's heart melts as shee takes his hand, her touch sending reassurance

Matt's eyes lock onto hers, relief and longing mingling

" Alone with you is exactly where I want to be."

Matt whispered to ava ...

Ava's hand still entwined with Matt's, she gently pulls him up from the couch and towards her bedroom.

The soft string lights from the living room cast a warm glow into the hallway, illuminating their path.

Matt's heart races with anticipation as Ava opens her bedroom door, revealing a cozy space with Soft pink walls

A plush white bed with delicate lace curtains

The Moonlight streaming through the window

Ava turns to Matt, her eyes sparkling with affection

"Welcome to my sanctuary... now it feels like yours too."

Matt's voice barely above whisper:

"It already feels like home when I'm with you."

Ava's lips curve into a gentle smile as she pulls him closer...

Matt and Ava's lips meet softly, a gentle kiss that sparks tender emotions.

As they kiss, Ava's hands slide up Matt's chest, wrapping around his neck, pulling him closer.

Matt's arms envelop her, holding tight as their lips move in perfect sync.

The kiss deepens slowly, but remains sweet, a intimate connection between them.

Ava breaks away barely, her forehead touching Matt's:

"I'm so glad you're here tonight." Ava said ..

Matt's voice low and husky as he replied

"Me too... I don't want tonight to end."

Ava smiles softly, taking his hand, and leading him towards the bed.

She sits down, patting the spot beside her:

"Then it doesn't have to."

Matt sits down gently beside Ava, their thighs touching sending sparks of electricity.

He turns to face her, eyes locking intensely as he takes her hand again.

Ava's heart races faster, her cheeks flushing softly in the moonlit room.

Matt's thumb traces gentle circles on her palm, his voice barely above whisper:

"I feel like I've known you forever, Ava."

Ava's voice equally soft:

"I know exactly what you mean, Matt. Like our hearts already knew each other."

Matt leans in slowly, forehead touching hers, warm breath mingling:

"Can I hold you while we sleep? I want to wake up to your face." Matt asked .

Ava nods softly, a gentle smile on her face:

"Yes... I'd love that."

Matt's heart swells with emotion as Ava leans into him, her head on his chest.

He wraps arms tightly around her, holding close as they sink back into the pillows together.

The moonlight casts a serene glow over the room, filling the air with peacefulness.

Ava's voice barely audible, muffled against Matt's chest:

"This feels like home..."

Matt's lips brush gentle kisses on her hair:

"You are home, Ava... with me."

As they drift off to sleep, Matt's thoughts whisper:

"I'll do anything to keep her safe from Caleb and our pack secrets..."

The Morning Sun rises

Ava Wakes to Matt's Smile

Ava stretches softly, opening her eyes to Matt's gentle smile inches from hers.

Morning sunlight streams through the window, casting a warm glow over his face.

"Good morning," Matt whispers, lips brushing against hers in a soft kiss.

Ava's heart skips a beat as she smiles back:

"Morning... I slept amazingly with you here."

Matt's eyes crinkle at the corners as he smiles wider:

"That makes two of us. I didn't want to wake up ,wanted to stay like this forever."

Ava's cheeks flush pink as she snuggles closer:

"Maybe we don't have to leave this moment yet..."

Just then, Ava's phone buzzes on the nightstand.
