The eggs started to break, and Charlie was holding her breath in anticipation. She had prepared for this moment for four weeks.
"Oh my God, it's happening!"
Vaggie then entered the room, hearing all the commotion.
"What's going on?"
"Everybody stay calm!"
I tried to speak to Charlie.
"Um, Charlie, maybe you should—"
I was cut off.
"Everyone stay f**king calm!"
Vaggie then slapped Charlie on the face to snap her out of it.
"Better?"
"Yeah, I really needed that. But did you have to slap me so hard?"
"Sorry, Charlie, but I had to make sure you snapped out of your little... overreaction."
As they were talking, the eggs suddenly burst open with dark energy, similar to my powers. They were currently inside of a sphere of dark energy as they floated above me.
A few seconds later, they landed right next to me, and the energy surrounding them finally disappeared, revealing three creatures—which was weird, since there were only two eggs.
As I looked at the newly formed creatures, I finally got to observe their features. The first was a black hellhound pup, but the most distinct feature it had was the skull mask that was part of its head.
The second creature was a black cat with three distinctly long antennae that formed on its head and cheeks.
They both formed in the same egg and were currently cuddling while they slept.
And the third and final creature that formed was a small cow that had small black demon wings and skin made of marble.
I just stared at them. Then I flew down closer to have a better look at their features.
But as soon as I got down to their level, they began to move closer to me while their eyes were still closed, like they knew who I was.
They moved closer to me and began to snuggle beside me like I was their mother. I looked up to see Charlie dying of cuteness, and Vaggie carrying her in her arms with an "I don't get paid enough for this" face.
I just sighed and continued to sit with the newly formed demon beasts. They were sleeping soundly beside me.
"You girls should probably go downstairs. I think I'm gonna be stuck here for a while."
Vaggie nodded and carried a passed-out Charlie in her arms.
"Man... I wasn't expecting to be a dad at 30. Me and Charlie aren't even married yet."

(Vaggie POV)
I was currently carrying Charlie in my arms due to the fact that she had passed out because of... cuteness overload.
I wasn't really complaining, though. They gave me a home, companionship, and even a new lease on life.
Though I was feeling extremely guilty. I hadn't been truthful to them—well, not completely. I didn't know how to tell them that I was an angel exorcist.
I didn't want them to abandon me. I didn't want them to leave me. This was the first time I had the chance to have a proper family.
I would do anything for them. I would do anything to protect them—even if it cost my life.
My thoughts were interrupted when I finally reached the couch in the main lounge of the hotel. I placed Charlie down on the couch and tucked a blanket over her.
I just looked at her sleeping form and smiled. Though we started off rough, we naturally grew closer with each other—like true sisters.
I then walked back to the room where Stygian was sleeping with the new additions to the family.
I looked at him and moved closer. I leaned in, and... and... I kissed him on the head.
My cheeks were now burning up and turning red. My embarrassment was over—never mind.
I left in a hurry and ran toward my room, locking myself in.
I wasn't ready for this. Why did I kiss him? He has a girlfriend. Charlie's like a sister to me.
I touched my lips and thought back to that moment. It felt so wrong to do—but felt so right.
