Chapter 2 - 1 year later

It's currently been a year since I was born, and things have not been so smooth for me.

First, I found out that I was in Hell. Yeah, Hell—that place where the souls of those who sinned end up.

I mean, sure, I wasn't the best and I wasn't the nicest person, but at least I didn't kill anyone in my entire life. The worst thing I had done was put milk before cereal and use ketchup instead of tomato sauce in my spaghetti.

But things aren't so bad. One: I'm apparently a demon prince—an Ars Goetia. No idea what that is, but at least it sounds cool.

While I was learning about the new environment and surroundings, I noticed that the sky was red. Quite different from the usual blue I'm used to, but this is Hell, so it is what it is.

As I learned to walk, I also learned that my brother's name was Stolas and our father's name was Paimon. Though he never visited us, I didn't really care that much.

Our maids and butlers were the ones that took care of us—fed us, changed our diapers, and even cleaned us.

I never knew my mother, only my father, even though he was never there.

Our life mainly consisted of sleeping and eating. Though we occasionally went outside to play, we mostly stayed indoors—something about staying safe and away from the lower class.

Seems a bit elitist, but that's not my problem right now. Right now, I need to learn to walk without falling on my face or accidentally pooping myself due to my lack of bowel control.

As time passed, I learned that I could use magic. Nothing insane yet, but I was able to lift a few objects off the ground and set things on fire.

(A few hours later)

So... I accidentally burned down the mansion.

This is fine.

As I sat outside the burned-down mansion, my father finally decided to show up—and he didn't look mad at all. In fact, he looked quite happy.

"Well done, my son. Only a year old and already using spells that could burn down anything from a touch—unlike your brother, who seems to be busy eating his own foot."

"No matter. You have shown potential. I might even make you my heir when you grow older... but unfortunately, you won't know that since you're still a baby."

I knew exactly what he was saying.

"Now, let's fix up your home, my son."

He raised his hand. A cosmic-like aura engulfed it, and the building began to repair itself. After a few seconds, the mansion looked just like it used to.

"I have high expectations of you, my son."

He placed me down and left once more.

Man, this guy loves getting milk.

After a few hours, we went back inside and got ready to go to bed.

Man, this day has been exhausting. First I burn down the house, and next, my dad declares I'm going to be his heir. At least I don't have to deal with Lucifer or Satan in this life.

I went to sleep knowing that things can't get any worse from here.
