Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Garp’s Anti-Baby Training Plan

The morning after my glorious full moon rampage, the household atmosphere was… tense.

Dragon was his usual oblivious baby self, gurgling and kicking his feet in the crib.

Me?

I was lying there innocently, pretending to suck my thumb while secretly savoring the memory of Garp hopping on one leg and yelling bloody murder.

But Garp…

Oh, Garp looked like a man who had seen the face of the devil — and it was round, bald, and drooled a little.

He limped around the room, rubbing his bruised shin and muttering to himself.

"I… I can't let this keep happening… That baby… no, that gremlin… he's dangerous…"

I tried not to smirk.

Then Sengoku showed up.

"Yo, Garp!" the young Sengoku waved as he stepped inside, holding some steamed buns. "What's with your limp? Trip over your own ego again?"

Garp glared at him like a man pushed to the edge.

"It's Diron. That monster baby. I swear, Sengoku — last night, he punched me so hard I saw my ancestors!"

Sengoku burst out laughing.

"Pfft! A baby? Punch you? C'mon, you've got a screw loose."

Garp grabbed Sengoku by the collar and pulled him down.

"Listen to me, you moron. That kid turns into a beast under a full moon. I'm telling you, it's some cursed Devil Fruit thing or demonic possession or — I don't know! But next full moon, he's gonna kill me!"

Sengoku scratched his head.

"Well… what are you gonna do about it?"

Garp narrowed his eyes, fire returning to them.

"Train. I'll train… to counter a baby."

"Wait, what?"

"I'll build baby-proof armor, baby-dodging techniques, anti-drool countermeasures… I'll become immune to Full Moon Baby Rampages!"

I could barely contain my giggle-snort.

Was this guy serious?

The next few days were hilarious.

I watched from my crib as Garp ran laps around the house holding sacks of rice labeled 'Baby Weight Training.'

He practiced dodging falling coconuts, pretending they were my fists.

He even built a makeshift helmet with tiny bite-proof ear flaps.

And every time he passed my crib, he pointed at me.

"I'm ready for you, you little menace."

I just gave him the most angelic, drooling baby smile I could.
