Chapter 45 - Chapter 45 (Galactic War (2))

Ron and DA stepped outside, leaving Carter and Locki behind at the table.

The morning air was cool, but Ron's thoughts were burning. He took a breath, then told DA everything—about the diary, the name Black Heart, and the strange message calling him Ricky Racon.

DA didn't say a word at first. He just stared off to the side, then slowly turned his gaze toward Ron with a sideways glance. There was something in his eyes—something that suggested he already knew all of it.

After a long pause, DA finally closed his eyes, as if confirming something within himself.

When he opened them again, his voice was calm but firm.

"Listen carefully," he said. "Tomorrow… before you open the diary again, bring it to this location."

He handed Ron a small folded note.

Ron unfolded it. A set of coordinates was scribbled in DA's sharp handwriting—no label, no name, just a place.

Ron looked up. "What's there?"

DA gave a small, almost unreadable smile. "Answers."

Then he turned around and walked away"

— IN THE WORLD OF DARK SOULS —

Dr. Thomas sat silently beside the crumbling throne. Upon it lay a man—motionless, pale. His other half. His only equal.

Tears slid down Dr. Thomas's face as he whispered through clenched teeth, "I will avenge you… and I'll bring you back. Trust me."

His eyes, once sharp with knowledge, now brimmed with both fury and sorrow.

Suddenly, a memory struck him like lightning.

Many hundreds of years ago...

Dr. Thomas stood beneath a dying sky, the sun setting behind the figure before him. The fading light cast a golden veil over the man's face, hiding his features in a glow.

Thomas extended his right hand.

"You're smart, Ricky Racon," he said quietly. "I need your help."

He just stared at Thomas's hand—his glowing red eyes piercing through the haze like twin embers in the dusk.

Silent. Still.

The weight of that stare said everything. And nothing.

Back in the present...

The memory faded, but the wound it left in Dr. Thomas's heart felt fresh.

His fingers curled into fists.

"If only you had helped me…" he whispered bitterly. "Ron would be living a normal life… with his wife… and daughters."

He stared ahead, but his gaze pierced through dimensions.

"Because of you…" he muttered, the tears returning. "Everything… because of you."

His voice broke, and for a brief second, even the cursed skies above the World of Dark Souls seemed to weep with him.

Ron sat down and began eating breakfast. For a moment, everything felt normal—until a thought suddenly hit him like a jolt.

DA called me... Ricky Racon.

Ron paused, his fork halfway to his mouth.

"Who the hell is Ricky Racon?" he wondered, the name echoing in his mind like a forgotten ghost from another life.

After the meal, everyone went their separate ways—some back home, others to their respective departments. But Ron couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted.

DA — FLASHBACK: MANY HUNDRED YEARS AGO

The world back then was quieter—before the great wars, before the cracks in reality.

DA stood in the middle of a serene village, surrounded by gentle winds and ancient trees that whispered of secrets long buried. Children's laughter rang out in the distance.

He turned his head to see them—two young kids running baefoot through the fields.

Ron and Dream.

Their innocent laughter echoed through the valley like a forgotten melody of peace.

A few steps ahead of DA stood a man, his back turned, cloaked in a long black coat. The golden rays of sunset poured from behind him, making his silhouette almost divine—impossible to look at directly.

The man spoke without turning around.

"Please… take care of Ron," he said softly. "Watch over his friends too—Carter and Locki. One day, Carter will come to you… and ask for training."

DA narrowed his eyes.

The man continued, "When that happens, it means Black Heart is on the move. His schemes will reach beyond time."

DA folded his arms. "You're asking a lot."

A pause.

Then he added, "But I'll try my best to protect them."

He stepped closer.

"…In return, I want something from you, Mr. Ricky Racon."

The man didn't move. Didn't respond. Just kept watching the children play, as if lost in what was... and what could never be again.

PRESENT DAY — HERO TOWN

Ron's phone buzzed in his pocket, snapping him out of thought.

It was Carter.

"Ron!" Carter's voice came through the speaker, laced with urgency. "Bring Locki. Now. No time to waste! King Larthur is back and he attacked our planets"

The call cut off before Ron could speak.

He looked up at the sky, heart racing.

Something's happening again...
