Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 (The Dead Titan (7))

To time travel, they needed speed—faster than anything that had ever existed.

And Ron, even before discovering his powers, was always faster than everything else.

Now, with the military and the king gone, the people of Hero Town turned against them, picking up weapons.

Ron sighed. "I loved Hero Town… and everyone in it. Why are they forcing me to kill them?"

But the attacks didn't stop.

Ron and Locki flew into outer space. Ron raised his palm toward Earth. A pulse of energy gathered at his hand—a Ki attack—and with one strike, he obliterated the entire solar system.

They floated in the void. It was time to return.

They agreed: they would time travel using pure speed.

Locki placed a hand on Ron's shoulder and transferred all his power to him. Locki grew weak, collapsing—but Ron caught him and landed gently on a nearby planet.

Ron started running—holding Locki's hand—decillions of laps around the planet in a trillionth of a second.

Even then, Ron wasn't using more than 0.1% of his full speed. Locki's boost was beyond anything imaginable.

After just one second, reality began to bend. They found themselves inside a wormhole—the same type they'd traveled through in the past using the time machine.

Ron remembered the exact moment they needed to reach.

Suddenly, a blinding white flash appeared—and from nowhere, a giant hand grabbed Ron by the throat.

The Titan.

Ron kicked the Titan in the face to break free.

Now dodging, now striking, Ron tried to keep his distance. He remembered—this was the same Titan who had once one-shotted him.

Ron relied mostly on kicks to keep range, but the Titan adapted quickly. He caught Ron again and pummeled him.

The blows shattered the wormhole and sent them both crashing into a black dimension, where only a single rainbow-colored thread stretched infinitely in all directions—the flow of time itself.

Ron, beaten and suspended in the void, thought he was dead.

But Locki appeared—summoning a massive sword from nowhere—and stabbed the Titan from behind.

Ron, seizing the moment, struck with his Blade of Vengeance, slicing off the Titan's hands.

The Titan screamed and prepared to retaliate, but Ron vanished.

Suddenly, the Titan found himself surrounded—billions of bows aimed at him, arrows already flying. The Titan took them all, coughing up black liquid—Titan blood.

Ron reappeared and stabbed the Titan in the head, his sword exiting through the jaw.

He teleported again. Locki conjured a spear traveling faster than any speed equation could measure—it tore through space and decapitated the Titan.

They thought it was over.

But the Titan regenerated instantly, now wielding a sword.

Ron blinked—then coughed blood.

He looked down. The Titan's blade was stabbed through his heart.

It had happened so fast—not even Ron saw it coming.

"So… I'm dead," Ron muttered, collapsing into the black abyss.

Locki fought on—using invisible chains to bind the Titan, slicing him with unseen blades. But the Titan regenerated each time, even stronger.

Locki searched with his eye powers—finally discovering the Titan's weakness: his Core, the very heart of his existence.

Meanwhile, Ron drifted through the void, remembering his daughters.

He heard one of them whisper, "Come back… meet us…"

But everything in their timeline was already gone.

"I'm sorry… I couldn't save you. I was too weak," Ron whispered. "Let's meet in the afterlife."

He closed his eyes.

Then—he saw himself floating on blood-red water.

Hands from below pulled him down—the people of Hero Town, whispering,

"Why didn't you save us?"

Ron didn't resist.

He woke in a black space. A figure with pure red wings stood before him. His eyes were deep red, like those of a dream god.

He pointed at Ron. A thread of blood extended from his finger into Ron's eyes, entering his soul.

"Wake up," the figure said. "Go save your family."

His face couldn't be seen. He turned and vanished.

---

Back in the time stream, Locki was gasping—the Titan had him by the throat.

The entire dimension shook. Even time itself trembled.

Then—Ron returned.

Red wings flared from his back. His presence changed the air.

The Titan rushed forward—but Ron's glare alone launched him backward.

The Titan recovered and struck—but with a single kick, Ron shattered the entire dimension.

They landed at the edge of the universe, Ron standing atop the Titan.

Ron raised his palm. The Titan's body and soul began to vaporize.

Locki looked at Ron and whispered, "That's… not him."

Ron smiled at Locki—then collapsed.

Aurora appeared, wounded. "What happened?" she asked.

Locki explained everything.

Aurora raised her hand—and recreated the flow of time.

---

Half an hour later, Ron woke with no memory of the battle.

They were still at the universe's edge.

Aurora suddenly took out a knife and stabbed Ron from behind.

Locki turned, and the blade went into his throat instead.

Both collapsed, gasping. As their eyes closed, they realized—

This wasn't the real Aurora.

Before they could see who it truly was, their vision faded.

Ron, in his last moment, sensed something…

Black Sorcery.

He understood.

It was Yardy. Disguised as Aurora. Sent by Dr. Thomas… to kill us.

Ron's eyes closed.
