Francis squinted slightly through the frame of his glasses, his smile unchanged.
"Makes sense."
Bella Green raised an eyebrow, not expecting Francis to respond to her like that.
"At our age, it's time to find a partner."
Francis said meaningfully.
Bella Green almost burst out laughing; that was an interesting way to put it.
Not saying girlfriend, but saying partner.
This partner had no gender restrictions.
Could be female, could be male...
Leo Foster listened to the two's conversation, a rare touch of embarrassment flashing across his face.
"Bella, you go home first."
Bella Green blinked, obediently responded with "Oh," then turned and bounced away.
After walking a bit farther, Bella Green looked back and saw Leo Foster getting into that Cadillac, her smile fading.
Bella Green took out her phone and dialed Joanna Ramsey's number, wanting Joanna to help check on this Francis, but the call couldn't get through.
