Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: What a Bold Woman

Eva Nightingale felt her skin heat up from the intensity of his gaze, completely forgetting that she needed to use the bathroom.

She changed the topic: "Hey handsome, don't you know how to treat a lady gently? My wrist is killing me from how hard you squeezed it just now!"

Treat a lady gently! Really?

His cold eyes were as black as a deep ancient well, bottomless and glinting with a dangerously enigmatic light. What an interesting woman.

"Hey handsome, your bathroom here looks a bit different from others."

Slightly fancier, hmm, perhaps there's a fee?

She rummaged for a while and somehow pulled out a five-dollar bill, tossing it into the man's hand: "Here you go, five dollars, keep the change."

Five dollars?

The man's gaze grew increasingly sinister and piercing.

Did she not know that in all his life, no one had ever dared to speak to him in such a tone?

She really didn't know her place!

If looks could kill, Eva would have died hundreds of times, every time directly sent to the eighteenth layer of hell.

Eva staggered, noticing that this man seemed quite unhappy?

Hmm, five dollars for a bathroom visit, and he's still not pleased?

Isn't the usual rate just two dollars?

Forget it.

After all, she was the Nightingale Family's Miss, she couldn't be that stingy. She turned around, and after a moment, pulled out a ten-dollar bill, tossing it into his hand: "Here, is this enough?"

"Why do you look like I've taken advantage of you!"

"Hmm?" His expression was several times colder than before.

The last thing he lacked was money.

Usually, he tossed around billions, he'd never seen sums as small as a few dollars.

And here she was, waving around a mere five or ten dollars, damn! Those denominations, he might as well keep them as antiques.

"I'll give you one more chance to rephrase your words?" The man clearly had run out of patience, his whole being exuding an air of hostility.

"..." Eva was taken aback for a moment. She shook her head, trying to clear her mind, but she had drunk too much.

Long Island Iced Tea was so smooth to drink, nothing seemed wrong at the time, but its kick was potent; now it was hitting her hard, leaving her drunk like a fool, completely oblivious to her actions just now.

"Let go, let go of me…" This annoying man, his grip was so strong, it felt like he was going to break her wrist.

"Look carefully, am I grabbing you or are you clinging to me?" the man's voice was a bit hoarse, an evil mischievousness carried a chill as if it were ice from a millennium past.

Lucas Knight never liked women getting close to him, except for tonight.

At this moment, Eva could feel it too, this man exuded a powerful kingly aura, as if he was a King Wolfe overlooking all beings with disdain.

"It's not like I did it on purpose, you were clearly the one who grabbed me first…" Just unreasonable, aren't you? Say he won't!

"See, I'm moving away from you right now, I won't use your bathroom!" She reached out, pressing her hand against the man's solid chest, trying to push him away.

Intending to shove him aside.

But who knew, he was like an iceberg, no matter how much strength she used, his tall and strong body remained unmoved.

The man's face was dark as coal: "..."

Looking down, he stared into her lively, soul-stirring eyes, declaring his sovereignty: "This is my room!"

As he spoke, it was as if he was issuing an eviction notice.

Eva was furious: "So you're kicking me out?" She was already too drunk to care who he was!

When she saw something she didn't like, she naturally fought back...

But after glancing at him, she couldn't find anything to fight back against!

Under the dim lighting, he showed no signs of leaving, so Eva had to forcefully push past him and escape…
