Seven Years Later
Kaiser
I was on my way to a book signing event on a Thursday afternoon.
My friend Dave knew the author hosting the event so he asked me to go with him.
Then we stood in line to meet the author and get a signed book from her.
"This is a waste of time, Dave" I said, I didn't even read books.
"She's gorgeous", He said, gesturing to the author as she signed books and handed them to her book fans.
I rolled my eyes and looked at my wristwatch.
We still had a little bit of time, I had to get back to work.
Dave, he worked with contracts so he didn't have any work at the moment.
"I wish I worked with contracts", I sighed.
It finally got to our turn.
"Hi there, my name is Rhyssa Myer", she said stretching her hand for a handshake.
And for a minute, I was in shock staring at the open hand.
"Rhyssa?" I asked, and she finally looked up from the book she was signing.
And to me, the whole world stopped.
"Do I know you?" She asked and I finally blinked and took her outstretched hand.
"No, no you don't" I said, my chest heaving as she handed me my book.
Her voice was still as captivating as ever.
It was her. My Rhyssa.

"Are you okay?"
"You've been staring at her since" Dave chuckled
"Told you she was alluring" He chipped in.
"You know her, don't you?" I asked not listening to any of what he just said.
"Yes I do...why?" He asked me, intrigued.
"Give me her number" I said,
"Whoa whoa whoa!" Dave interrupted me.
"You never take interest in any woman, what's gotten into you?" He asked.
"She isn't some kinda pussy you just hook up with...believe me I've tried" He said and anger rushed through my veins.
"She doesn't want anything to do with men, sometimes I think she's gay" He said and laughed and I had to restrain myself from punching him.
"Shut up, Dave" I snapped and walked away.
"What's his deal?" Dave murmured and followed behind me.

I drove all the way to the place where I once met her...hopefully she still lived there.
I got to the building and asked of her.
"She moved out years ago" the man I asked said and I was a bit disappointed.
Was it because of me she left?
"Thank you" I said to the man and turned to leave.
"I can give you her new address" He offered and I turned immediately.

I drove to her new address by late evening.
This was a bad idea, I thought to myself.
But nevertheless I didn't stop.
I was in front of her house and I took a deep breath.
Her house was beautiful, if not magnificent.
I rang the doorbell, no one answered.
Maybe she wasn't at home yet, I thought, then I turned to leave when I saw a Porsche car by the side of her house.
She was at home.
I proceeded to ring the doorbell again when the door suddenly opened and we were both startled.
She was standing in the doorway, wearing a short night robe and it took everything in me to not look at her thighs.
Her face was still as delicate as ever and she was absolutely stunning.
Long eyelashes sitting at the top of her hazel brown eyes.
Her hair was tied in a messy bun.
Believe me, that was hot as fuck.
"Hi Rhyssa" I said between breaths, not exactly how I wanted to sound when I called her name.

I opened the door and this really handsome stranger was at my door and I suddenly became conscious of the see through nightie I was putting on. Luckily I had a robe on but it was still short-thigh level.
He was atleast six feet and more.
My neck ached from looking up at him.
I was small.
Then he opened his mouth and the way my name rolled off his tongue was the sexiest thing I'd heard in years.
Pure ecstasy.
I had to say something, anything!!
"Who are you?" I asked and for a second, hurt lingered in his eyes.
"It's me, Kaiser" He said and my mouth dropped.

When she asked who I was, I was hurt.
She didn't remember me.
I didn't expect her to anyway, it's been seven years.
"It's me, Kaiser" I said and her beautiful doe eyes widened in shock.
"Kaiser?" She said
Her voice still did things to me....I can't help it.
