She had just stepped out of the shower, wearing a wet-colored bathrobe. Her phone, lying on the bed, kept ringing. She picked it up to see it was a call from her friend, Luna.
"Do you ever take a break, even for a second?" she spoke aloud, putting the phone on speaker.
"Emilia, stop messing with me! I've been trying to reach you for ages. Where were you?" Luna's voice, full of anger, echoed through the speaker.
"I was taking a shower, my dear. Now tell me, what's going on worth all these calls?" Emilia replied with a laugh.
"You know what? I got admission to Manchester!" Luna's excited voice widens Emilia's smile.
"Wow, that's amazing news!" Emilia said, sounding even more thrilled than Luna.
"Miss Emilia, can I get this good news from you too?" Luna asked eagerly.
"Wait, I'll check my email."
Saying this, Emilia ended the call and opened her laptop, placing it on the bed in front of her. Her bathrobe had slipped a bit off her shoulder.
As soon as she opened her email, the first one was from the university. The more she read, the wider her smile grew, and even her ocean-green eyes seemed to smile with it. Without wasting any time, she picked up her phone and called Luna, who answered on the first ring.
"Would you want to spend the next four years of your degree with me?" Emilia laughed as she asked.
"Does that mean you've been accepted too?" Luna's excited voice rang out from the speaker.
"Yes. So, what do you say, will you come with me to Manchester?" Emilia asked lovingly.
"I will go. Spending the next four best years of my life with you!" Luna's voice echoed with happiness through the phone.
After saying goodbye to Luna, Emilia got up from her bed and headed to her dressing room. She picked out a navy blue nightdress and put it on.
Now sitting at her study table, she took out a diary and began writing.
"Finally, another beautiful journey of life is about to begin. Yesterday was good, I hope tomorrow will be even better. I hope to meet the person who will be my soulmate, who will be with me through it all." After writing this, Emilia smiled at the page and closed her diary.

The New Beginning
Today marked the first day of the new semester. Many new students arrived at Manchester University with dreams in their eyes. A black Rolls Royce drove into the campus, and Emilia, wearing a zinc top, stepped out.
"As usual, late!" Luna approached her and stopped her, having been waiting for quite a while.
"Sorry." Emilia tried to hug her.
"You should be embarrassed for always being late. If this were a party, you'd be first to arrive!" Luna gave her a stern look and moved ahead.
"Okay, okay, stop being angry," Emilia said, walking alongside her.
"We'll talk after selecting subjects," Luna said, glaring at her.
"What's wrong with you, Emilia? You never get things right," Emilia mumbled, muttering as she moved ahead.
Suddenly, her shoulder bumped into someone else's. She spun around and started to fall when the person in front grabbed her hand and pulled her toward him. She ended up against his broad chest.
"Are you okay?" The boy asked softly.
Emilia stared into his golden eyes, speechless.
"Emilia?" Luna's voice snapped her back to reality, and she stepped back from the boy, standing up.
"Yeah..." Emilia answered nervously.
"Are you sure you're, okay?" The boy asked again, concerned.
"Yes, thank you," Emilia said, still looking at him.
"Well, I'm Emilia Williamson," she extended her hand.
"Kevin Mark." Kevin shook her hand, then turned to shake Luna's hand. Emilia couldn't help but glance at him again.
"Kevin, you're here? I've been looking for you!" a guy approached, placing a hand on Kevin's shoulder. Emilia looked at him curiously.
"This is my friend Kai," Kevin introduced.
"Hey, girls!" Kai smiled, greeting them both.
"Well, we have to go, some work to do. See you at the welcome party!" Kevin said, then walked away with Kai.
"Shall we go?" Luna asked, looking at Emilia.
"He's so handsome," Emilia said, watching Kevin walk away.
"Emilia!" Luna was surprised by her words.
"I don't know, Luna, something's different," Emilia's ocean-green eyes sparkled as she spoke.
"Hmm... like?" Luna teased, placing a hand on Emilia's shoulder.
"Like... a current," Emilia replied, her lips curling into a smile.
"Did your heart skip a beat?" Luna asked, giving Emilia a questioning look.
"My heart skipped? I just got lost in his eyes. How can anyone have eyes that beautiful?" Emilia's smile grew as she spoke.
"Emilia, can we select the subjects first?" Luna tugged at her arm.
"But?" Emilia tried to protest.

"Emilia, we still need to go shopping for the welcome party. Come on!" Luna pulled her along.
The two were on their way back after selecting subjects when Emilia spotted Eric walking towards them.
"What is he doing here?" Emilia asked, giving him a curious look.
"He's here to study. He's not here to dance, is he?" Luna answered, distracted by her phone.
"Wait here, I'll be right back," Emilia said, then walked away.
"Can't you just relax for once?" Luna shouted as she chased after her.
"Hello, Mr. Eric," Emilia said, standing in front of him.
"What are you doing here?" Eric looked at her, surprised.
"I came to the club," Emilia shot him a glare.
"What?" Eric's mouth dropped open.
"Of course, I'm here to study, duh!" Emilia snapped, baring her teeth.
"Oh, okay. You scared me there," Eric said, looking at her.
"By the way, you're a pretty annoying guy," Emilia said, hugging him.
"Just like you," Eric replied, giving her a look. Emilia shot him a glare in return.
"Look after her, she's always picking fights," Eric said to Luna.
"You deserved it," Luna said, punching Eric's arm.
"Are you two here to meet me or to fight?" Eric joked, crossing his arms.
"What's it to you?" Emilia punched him again.
The three of them were chatting when the sound of heels clicking on the floor grabbed their attention.
