"Trunks?" Lin Xuan called out softly.
Hearing his name uttered by the stranger, Trunks' pupils shrank violently as a wave of intense shock washed over him.
"Who are you?! How do you know my name?!"
From his observations earlier, his mother Bulma hadn't even gotten together with his father Vegeta yet. In fact, it seemed his father hadn't even arrived on Earth.
This diverged wildly from the historical accounts he had learned, but strictly speaking, he shouldn't even exist in this era yet!
Yet this strange man before him had not only recognized him instantly but had spoken his name without a second thought!
What alarmed Trunks even more was that he couldn't gauge the man's strength at all. In fact, he couldn't sense a single shred of Ki coming from him.
The only entities he had ever encountered that lacked detectable Ki were Dr. Gero's Androids!
At that thought, Trunks' heart jolted. A powerful surge of Ki flared around his body as he gripped his sword with both hands, dropping into a battle-ready stance.
"Who on earth are you?! Why can't I sense any Ki from you?!" Trunks demanded in a heavy voice. "Are you an Android created by Dr. Gero of the Red Ribbon Army?!"
"An Android?" Lin Xuan blinked, caught off guard.
He quickly recalled that Trunks' main purpose for traveling back in time was to save the world from the Androids. It made sense why Trunks would misinterpret his suppressed energy.
Lin Xuan chuckled. "Relax, I'm no Android. I simply concealed my Ki, that's all."
With a flick of his wrist, Lin Xuan unsealed his suppressed power.
BOOM!
An immensely colossal, boundless aura exploded from his body in an instant!
Trunks' expression shifted drastically. He felt an unprecedented weight slam into his soul, so intense that his legs actually began to tremble uncontrollably under the pressure.
*'What terrifying Ki! Who is this man?! How can his energy be this massive?!'* Trunks marvelled in utter shock.
"Hmph!"
With a low roar, a golden flash enveloped Trunks. His purple hair stood on end, blazing into a radiant shade of gold as a surging golden flame-like aura flared around his body!
Not knowing whether this stranger was friend or foe, Trunks activated his strongest form to be safe. Facing the pressure Lin Xuan exerted, he couldn't afford to be careless.
However, after transforming into a Super Saiyan, not only did Trunks' power skyrocket, but his sensory perception became infinitely sharper.
Sensing the aura radiating from Lin Xuan, the pressure felt even heavier than before—so heavy that Trunks found it difficult to breathe!
Lin Xuan's energy felt like a bottomless abyss. Trunks' perception was completely swallowed by it, rendering him utterly unable to glimpse the depths of Lin Xuan's true power!
Looking at Trunks in his transformed state, Lin Xuan nodded with a smile. "Super Saiyan, huh? Not bad. Much more promising than your old man!"

"Th-This is... Super Saiyan?!" Trunks gasped in sheer disbelief.
Golden aura, emerald-green eyes, golden hair, and an overwhelming, suffocating pressure...
There was zero doubt that this man was a Super Saiyan! But why could a complete stranger transform into a Super Saiyan?!
For a moment, Trunks wondered if temporal sickness had caused him to hallucinate, or if he had simply gone insane.
As far as he knew, the only full-blooded Saiyans left in existence were Goku and his father, Vegeta. Beyond them, there were only half-breed Saiyans like himself and Gohan!
In his memory, there had never been any record of a Saiyan matching this man's description. Where had this stranger come from, and why could he go Super Saiyan?!
Yet the evidence was standing right in front of his eyes—a powerful, terrifying Super Saiyan.
What on earth was going on?! Had his time machine malfunctioned and dropped him in a completely wrong dimension?!
Observing Trunks' stunned reaction, Lin Xuan smiled calmly. "Relax. I'm not your enemy. Goku and I are friends, and I've dealt with your father Vegeta quite a few times as well."

Trunks maintained a cautious posture, holding his sword tight. "Then who are you really? Why do you know so much about me?"
Lin Xuan grinned. "My name is Lin Xuan. I am the Guild Leader of the Dimensional Guild. You can just call me Guild Leader Lin."
"Dimensional Guild?" Trunks blinked, completely perplexed.
He had never heard of such an organization. Given how insanely strong this man was, if such an organization existed in his timeline, there was no way he wouldn't have heard of it!
"Alright, let me treat you to a drink while we chat," Lin Xuan smiled.
With a wave of his hand, he summoned a set of plush sofas and a tea table out of thin air from his system inventory, sitting down casually to brew tea.
Seeing Lin Xuan manifest furniture out of nowhere, Trunks was amazed. *'That doesn't look like Hoi-Poi Capsule technology... Where did he pull those things from?'*
