Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Trauma Played

Chelsea ran faster to the bathroom, with her hands over her mouth as she coughed so hard.

Letting air down her throat as she hit her chest harder. The drink was getting to her body, letting her eyes blur, but that wasn't going to stop her.

She walked over to the tap and dripped some water on her face, down to her neck. The pleasure she felt was all she needed. Chelsea pulled her hair backward as she kept on washing her face.

Trying to get back to herself, she smiled at the mirror.

She didn't know if it was Magnus's betrayal or the three years she had wasted with him. Many suitors flee to her side, but she loves Magnus right from high school, letting her feelings come before her.

She stared at herself in the mirror, with her eyes on it.

"I need to get these done," she said, grabbing her makeup kits and applying a lot of makeup to herself.

Enough to cover the tear's trace, once she was done.

Chelsea smiled as she walked out of the bathroom and then into a different suit, letting her hands knock at the door.

She knocked twice but got no response, but as soon as her hands lay to knock again.

"Come in," the thick male voice spoke from inside as she slid the door open.

"Mr. Alaric, I'm sorry about the delay had things to settle," Chelsea spoke as she walked over to him.

"Mrs. Chelsea, welcome to my suite," Alaric said with a smile, his hands lifted.

"Please...I can drink three glasses of wine to make it up to you," she pleaded, but instead, he stared at her and laughed.

"I'm good at waiting," he said.

Chelsea sat down on the sofa beside him as she folded her legs. Took a deep breath before facing him.

"What about the documents?" She asked.

Some years back, they met at a formal party, and from there, they clicked mostly because of a partnership with her dad's company.

An hour later, Chelsea walked with Alaric, and they smiled while they discussed on their way.

Just as Alaric pulled his car door open, Chelsea ran behind him to hide.

"Chelsea, where have you been? We have been waiting for you all this while." Michaele said, pulling Chelsea with force to her side.

But instead, Alaric held Michaela's hands off Chelsea as he held her firmly.

Stopping Michaela from further action.

"We don't bite, come on, we just played a joke on her, nothing serious," Sabrina said as she walked over to them with her hands folded.

"You say that as a joke?" Chelsea said, grinding her teeth in anger.

"Don't be angry, we are sorry," Michaela said, finally grabbing Chelsea off Alaric and pulling her to their side.

Alaric walked over to take Chelsea back, but Magnus stood in front of him.

"Chill! Man, we aren't done with her birthday party," Magnus said as he stared at him.

Ready to devour if he moved a bit, Alaric glanced at Chelsea for the last time before walking away.

Chelsea's body shivered, knowing it wasn't going to end well.

Michaele grabbed her shoulder tightly as they walked over to the party room.

"Come in, what are you waiting for?" Sabrina said to Chelsea as she paused for some seconds.

Chelsea walked inside, and her heart beat faster, but she knew they wouldn't hurt her even a bit.

Immediately, Chelsea entered and sat down Magnus walked over to her. Giving her a drink again, this time sipping from it and handing it over to her.

"You see? We are done playing around, my love," Magnus said, as he lifted his hands while she stared at him.

Chelsea refused the drink, not caring about his so-called love.

Magnus's temper climbed off as he tightened his wrist firmly.

"Why can't you loosen up a bit? We host this party for you, but it seems you aren't interested," Sabrina said as she stared at her.

Chelsea could feel the anger on their faces; she glanced again at them before sipping down the wine.

It was hot for her. She coughed out louder, but Magnus held her firmly as he tapped her shoulder gently.

"It's alright, let's party," Michaela said as she smiled while pulling Chelsea over to her for a dance.

Sabrina was already flipping her body while she danced; Magnus sat there, busy sipping his drink as he watched them.

'Come on, bro, let's dance," Michaela said, dragging her brother's wrist and pulling him over to the dance floor.

Magnus rolled his eyes at her as he started to dance.

Chelsea stared at them; it felt like her dark feelings for them weren't there anymore.

"What's going on?" Chelsea felt her eyes shutting down and her hands getting weak.
