"Spirit... Resonator..?" I looked at Max in confusion.
"Yeah, a resonator that's related to spiritual energy," Max explained.
"But Max... how did you get this? I mean... yeah, Ambrose allowed you to take it for free, but Spirit Resonator is epic in rarity. Surely they wouldn't allow you to take this without any objections," Sarah asked curiously.
"Well, normally I would've gotten objections," Max admitted. "But since Ambrose doesn't want me rallying up the Protectors in this branch, he allowed me to take whatever I wanted." He shrugged before pointing at me. "Anyways Jay, here, these are yours."
Max reached into his Dimensional Bag and pulled out the resonator. It looked like it was filled with white fog laced with bluish energy. The moment I held it, a cold sensation seeped through my palms. Along with it, he handed me several skill tokens and a set of light armor.
The armor was sleek black, reinforced with thin metallic plates, and had side pockets perfect for knives or daggers.

The tokens had a mix of unnamed ones and some with specific natures, like Skill Token: Flaming Lizards. Max had gotten me incredible items. And with the Spirit Resonator, I would finally unlock my fifth resonating force.
"I will finally have all five. Does this mean I can join the guild officially? The quest board had some easy and fun quests, I want to try them once we're done with these goblins," I said happily.
"Yeah, once you get all five resonators, you can sign up," Sarah confirmed. "But remember, you don't have all your skills yet. Even if the ones you have develop and rank up, you will stay stuck at Iron rank unless you get all of the skills to reach Bronze. And besides that, you will need to keep developing your resonators."
We decided to go to the training hall once again, because Max wanted to teach me a few things about developing my resonators. There's also the fact that I wanted to use the resonator.

The moment I say that word, the white fog seeped inside me, cold yet calm. My heartbeat slowed and whispers filled my head. Voices too ancient for me to comprehend. I see visions, of battles and festivals. And then- the world snaps back, colder than before.
"Phew, I thought you were out cold again," Cleo said, her tail flicking as she observed me. "Well, how was it Jay?"
"I... could hear whispers. And see visions, maybe from the past, or maybe of something else...." I reply, still catching my breath.
Sarah frowned, her arms folding. "That doesn't sound normal."
Max let out a quiet sigh, nodding. "No. That's the Spirit Resonator for you. It opens doors most people would rather keep shut."
Cleo tilted her head, her sharp eyes narrowing as her tail flicked behind her. "Then he should get used to it. The spirit resonator is difficult to comprehend."
Their words lingered in the air as I steadied myself, the cold echo of the resonator still in my chest.
"I am fine now." I saw sheepishly.
"Well, what's your fifth resonator?" Sarah asks me curiously.
"Fifth? Oh yeah- I don't know-" before I could finish the system window pops up.
