ROSE POVHis soulful brown eyes locked with mine, piercing and intense making me feel exposed and vulnerable.
His gaze was like a slap in the face, his eyes so cold and dismissive, with a messy swoop of dark brown hair adding to his air of superiority.
I gasped, he was more than 'cute!'.
"Not at all, sir?". I stuttered.
He had an indifferent look which I assumed he is a man of few words after his first impression of ignoring me.
Can I cope?
The air was getting so tensed and invisible pores appeared on my forehead.
I needed to swoop out of this hell.
"Coffee sir?". It was like that scene from 'Working Girl' where Melanie Griffith's character asks her boss if he wants coffee - except this time, it was me asking him.
His face was impassive but his voice was laced with disdain as he said,
"Tea, with lemon. No sugar". He returned his gaze back to his work.
I was about to take a step out but strained my ankle as a result of standing in a particular position for a while.
I tried to hide my wince but he saw it anyway, and yet, his expression didn't change, not hint of concern as he returned his gaze back to his laptop again.
Anna was right, he is cold.
I galloped out of his office.
He made it clear but I don't get it.
I reached the coffee station, remembering his clear instructions.
I won't mess this up, I decided to browse.
Wow! It really help on how to make a bitter lemon tea, ew!
The sight of it infuriates me as the thought of Noel and brocolli made me smile.
I also discovered few working tips as a loyal PA (like I care) from the browsing.
I served it to him, stood beside him like a dog patiently waiting for its owner to call.
He had a phone call, and the moment he set eyes on it, he had the most irritating look on his face and let out a disdainful word,
"Rubbish!".

ADRIAN POV
It was Kira, what the hell do she want from me.
I ignored her calls but the thoughts of what transpired between us two yester night made me furious.
I took a sip of the lemon tea Rose made me but my infuriated state made me rejected it even though she made it more perfectly than my other secretaries.
"How amusing!". I turned to her.
"You cannot make a simple tea recipe correctly , get it out of my office. I have somewhere to be ".
ROSE POV
He towered over me, his 6'4 frame making him appear more imposing and intimidating. His expanded chest and broad shoulders tailored his expanded suit as he gazed down at me with disdain.
I gulped. I'm in for it already!

"You're his what?". Anna yelped after I told her the whole troubles of the day during our lunch time at the cafeteria.
But she seems to rejoice maybe at the bugger and soda in her front because she's a foody or her crush ( the boss).
I rolled my eyes, "He is worst than cold, he is haughtier than anyone else".
She gasped, "Do you see his abs, babe, I'm into him already".
Anna could be very dramatic!
"I think we should switch places".
She works in the marketing department.
She grinned, "Congratulations babe! Now you can thank me fully by buying me a drink tonight".
I shook my head in disapproval, "Yes I will, but I'm not drinking with you".
Just then a question flushed into my mind,
"But why did the previous PA had to quit her job?".
Anna munched her bugger slowly and whispered after looking around.
"Quit their jobs, you say". She corrected and I got her hint of how numerous they were that gave up.
"Well, it was Kira ".
I furrowed my brows being inquisitive, "Who's Kira?".
"The evil girlfriend, she's the only one who drive my handsome boss crazy. I bet she was the one that made him this cold".
And I bet she was the one that called him a while ago,
Anna added after gulping down her soda, "She doesn't want any woman near sir Adrian so thereby skimming her ways to either give them better offers or threaten their lives to quit their jobs ".
"How obsessed!". I exclaimed.
"Hush! I guess sir Adrian is tired of her that is why he needed an urgent PA, someone to keep closer to avoid Kira".
Now I get where the juicy offers came from.
He is in need of my help to keep Kira off and yet couldn't submit because he is arrogant and doesn't want to be indebted to a mere subordinate.
How sweet but too late, you should have been nicer sir Adrian.
My lips curved into a smile.
