Chapter 8 - To Test Evil Is To Own Evil

Mad Dog quickly turns his head, pointing to himself in agape as he stares at the window's glass to meet eyes with the stoic lady, who doesn't even blink an eyelash as Jin opens his mouth, pointing to Ashton and yelling his ass off.

"Fuck no!" Mad Dog exclaims. "Did you not even hear what I said about my injuries? Like fucking hell I wanna fight this guy again!"

"So you're afraid of getting beaten..." The woman said, letting out a snort. The short girl besides her—Killer Brigade—whistles while the other girl, First Shooter, shakes her head offers him a pitying look through the glass. "Aw, Mad Dog is afraid of a little fight."

Ashton lifts up his head, his pinkish red eyes focused on the vein popping on Mad Dog's chin as he grits his teeth, his black eyes facing forward as he clenches his hands into fist.

"I'm not afraid of a fucking fight." Mad Dog said. "I'd just rather be home than in this dump."

"Seems to be like that's just a excuse." The woman said, titling her head and placing her pale cheek on her palm. "What an easy scape goat."

Mad Dog scowls, clenching his fist as he eyes the woman behind the glass.

"Fine, I'll do it." Mad Dog said, eyeing Ashton's form from below him menacingly. "But I want a raise."

"…excuse me?" The woman said, raising her eyebrow.

"I'll beat the shit out of him until he gets that devil out." Mad Dog said, pointing a thumb to himself. "But a 30% increase."

"30-hey, you're cutting it." The woman said, shooting Mad Dog a cold glare. "How dare you-?"

"You want me to fight him." Mad Dog said. "Pay up."

The woman silently stares at Jin, her expression clearly showing how annoyed she is. The tall man beside her snarls at Mad Dog in kind, ready to defend and fight in her honor, but the woman holds her hand up and stops him.

"15%." The woman said.

Mad Dog quickly turns around to grab Ashton by his collar, but makes no moves to do anything else.

"28%." Mad Dog said.

The woman huffs, rolling her eyes disinterestedly.

"20%." The woman said, watching with focused eyes as Mad Dog grips Ashton's collar tighter.

"25%." Mad Dog said, offering a cocky grin. "Take that shit or take a hike, Boss."

The woman—Boss— huffs, letting out a cold scoff as her eyes slowly wonder back to the two men below.

"Fine." Boss said, causing a gasp from First Shooter and whining from Killer Brigade.

Mad Dog grins, gripping Ashton's collar until his knuckles turn white as he looks down at Ashton, a wide grin on his face.

"No hard feelings." Mad Dog said, before he uses his strength and grabs Ashton by his collar, throwing the shorter man into a far away wall.

Smoke filters in the room, caused by the explosion and impact of the attack, followed by Ashton's small body crumbling to the ground. Mad Dog struts forward, his expression emotionless as he reaches for his sheathed blade tucked on the cuffs of his back carried in straps. Mad Dog steps ahead until he suddenly stops, watching a pair of fingers flinch. Mad Dog looks further down, watching Ashton shake and quiver as he looks as if he is attempting to get up, but is failing due to his weak state.

"Whatever devil it is, what a catch..." Mad Dog said. "You're so weak now, but you put up a pretty good fight before. Crazy shit."

Mad Dog grabs Ashton by the chin, holding his head high enough until Mad Dog pulls his hand away, and Ashton can weakly move his neck by himself, but it's only for a second before Mad Dog grabs his sheathed blade and swings it towards Ashton's face, smacking Ashton so hard against his check a tooth falls out.

"I-." Ashton said, sounding breathless and in pain. "S-stop-."

Mad Dog swings again, aiming and landing harshly another blow to Ashton's other cheek. Ashton flinches, quivering as Mad Dog continues his assault, landing blow after blow on Ashton's face, causing his face to burn red, blood to cover his face, his chin, and his chest, and his head to overflow with dizziness and meekiness.

"Stop-." Ashton feels his eyes roll at the back of his head as he sways, holding a hand in front of his face as he gasps for breath. "S-stop-!"

There's more brutal attacks aimed at Ashton, enough so that he feels his body is too weak as he just takes on the assaults. Ashton feels his vision blur, his lungs barely function as he's gasping for air, his lips taste like iron from all the blood he's lost from the onslaught he's enduring.

"You're so weak." There's a voice in his head that almost snaps him out of his weak stupor. "Master, we cannot lose like this! It will make Lord very, very angry! And because of that-I think he desires to take over! So, so sorry poor human! Poor, poor human-!"

Ashton croaks, swaying as he feels his body become weak enough to almost fall, and that's when he feels it—the familiar feeling of his body burning, his limbs growing and sharping and becoming big enough that it feels painful, like a hot iron to his skin, and finally Ashton feels the familiar roll of a ball-like figure roll up his body until it lands in the middle of his forehead, and his eyes burst open wide.

"Ah-." Mad Dog said, turning from Boss to Ashton. "I guess you finally-."

Mad Dog feels a familiar strength throw him into a nearby fall. Mad Dog blinks, feeling debris fall from his hair and his glasses' focile crack as he slowly falls from the wall.

"You'll pay for that you bastard!" Mad Dog yells, tripping forward and holding himself in a crotch as he holds his own weight on the wall. "You-."

Mad Dog feels a chaotic energy behind him, enough for his eyes to snap open and for him to whip his head fast enough to dodge a full force punch to his face, enough to create a crater in the wall behind him. Mad Dog gawks, tuning his body and running forward with all of his might as Ashton follows behind him with glowing eyes which suddenly look very, very angry.

"After all that smack talk…" Boss said from behind the glass wall, letting out a soft sigh. "Now he's running like a chicken without a head..."

"To be fair, the little guy looks pretty dangerous."Killer Brigade said, a very short woman herself. "I'd be running like that too with the way he's trying to land blows."

"J-jeez…he'll ruin the room at this rate! Shouldn't we stop them?" First Shooter asked, her aqua eyes landing on the stoic woman.

"No." The woman said. "This is more fun."

Mad Dog gasp, forcing himself to have more steam as he feels Ashton continuously chasing him with lighting speed and glowing eyes. Mad Dog heaves, throwing his head back as he feels sweat infiltrate his all black suit.

"Fuck, are you ever going to get tired?" Mad Dog exclaims, slowly coming to a stop and bringing his head to his knees. "Jeez! All that running is worse than being thrown in a building-!"

The suddenly chasing behind him stops. Mad Dog blinks, slowly standing up and turning his head, but his eyes widen at the shorter man before him, his eyes are blazed, mixed with reds and pinks and yellows and oranges as the flamed tails surrounding his arms burn brighter and move like whips.

Ashton slowly raises his muscular tan arm, tighten his hand to fist as he swings his fist forward past Mad Dog and inches from his face, cutting off pieces of his black hair as a bright, big, burning mixed flame shoots from his fist and burst behind Mad Dog like a big bullet, causing the walls behind Mad Dog to explode on impact and cause craters in its wake.
