"Hello Mom? How are you? Sorry, I couldn't talk in the past few days, I was really busy."
His mom's sweet voice replied from the other side. It was like a balm, relieving his worries and stress.
"I'm okay, son. Just feeling a little tired and lazy. The voice of my son keeps me sound and safe all the time." Ishar gave a little laugh and said, "Mom, you have no idea what bizarre things are going on here. I really wish I could've told you-",
"Oh come on, let me talk for sometime- Ma'am, please listen -come on!"
A muffled commotion could be heard on the phone. Ishar's heart plunged straight into a void of panic and terror.
"Mom?", he shouted, "Mom! Are you alright? Is anybody hurting you?"
His fear grew with each increasing commotion. Then, finally, his mother replied,
"I'm okay son. It's just these cursed hospital people, having me holed up here for nothing. I just came here because of fatigue and err- something, and they found umm, something and they're suddenly alarmed."
A hospital? Ishar froze. Then, in a very small voice, as if afraid of the answer, Ishar asked,
"Mom…why are you in the hospital?"
