Broken Bonds
***Arin's POV***
My chest erupted in pain, as if someone were using their bare hands to tear out my heart. The mate bonds that bound me to Rowan, Jaxon, and Kael were wailing in pain, resisting the First Luna's demands.
"Stop!" My fists were already flying toward Jaxon's face, but I pleaded in my mind. His eyes were wide with shock and pain as he barely avoided it.
"Please, Arin! It's me."
"I know!" I wanted to scream, but instead my voice sounded harsh and icy. "And I don't care."
The first Luna chuckled in my head. "Little vessel, feel that pain? Your bonds are breaking there. You won't feel anything at all soon."
She was correct. The bonds grew weaker each time she forced me to attack one of the triplets. It was as if I were dying inside out.
"Fight her!" Kael yelled while attempting to take hold of my arms without causing me any harm. "I know you're still in there!"
