The Hunt Commences
***Arin's Perspective***
I didn't have to tell my feet to move. As I moved farther into the forest, I crushed dead leaves beneath my boots with each step. My body refused to listen to my attempts to stop and turn around.
I muttered, "Please," to the icy voice inside my head. "Please don't force me to do this."
The sound of Queen Althara's laughter reverberated like shattered glass within my skull. "Little Omega, you have no other option. I now own your body." Even my voice was trapped when I wanted to scream. My thoughts were the only thing I had control over, and even they felt hazy and far away. I felt as though I was being buried alive within my own flesh.
"Where are you taking me?" Even though I knew she could hear what I was thinking, I still asked.
"To collect what I need," she stated. "I need three antiquated relics to complete my power. The Heart of the First Luna, the Crown of Shadows, and the Moonstone of Binding."
