Chapter 262 - Chapter 262-98: Beast Pirates vs Undying Legion

Franky could take no more. Facing King the Wildfire in his pteranodon form, he barked a single order—and the War-God warship loosed a savage roar.

BOOM‑‑‑!

The cannons that hadn't fired since the Summit War erupted once again. The blast rocked heaven and earth; pillars of fire shot sky‑high, blotting out half the sky, and the shockwave was so fierce it made Wano's mighty waterfall surge backward for an instant.

King reeled in shock. He hadn't expected Franky to act so decisively—nor the cannon's firepower to be this insane. He tried to dodge, but these shells weren't ordinary rounds; they were custom explosives designed to blanket a wide area.

Though he avoided the center, the wall of force still swallowed him. His wings bent backward, the impact hammered his chest like a giant maul, and with a muffled grunt he was blown clear back over Wano's airspace, blood spraying onto the waterfall below.

Black Arm Zephyr roared with laughter. "Beautiful work, Franky! Kaido thought King could scare us—looks like the lesson went the other way!"

Franky smirked. "That bird‑brain dared charge my ship? He must've forgotten who built it."

Boa Hancock lifted her chin. "It's time they realized how strong we are."

Trafalgar Law snapped his sword closed. "Then the decisive battle starts now."

With King driven off and Chiyu and Franky's custom ships climbing hard, the fleet scaled the falls and entered Wano. The country itself was strange—one main island plus the off‑shore skull‑shaped Onigashima, all tucked inside an inland sea. It was as if an entire stretch of ocean had been lifted into the air, using height, drop, and the waterfall as natural walls.

Their target, of course, was Kaido's stronghold—Onigashima.

King, battered but alive, staggered back to report. "Uchiha Chiyu has breached the waterfall—"

"What?!" Kaido exploded. "That brat's gone too far!"

He downed three huge bowls of sake—already mostly drunk—then stomped outside. In a flash he became a colossal azure dragon hundreds of meters long, coiling into the clouds with a deafening roar for all of Wano to see.

King and Queen traded a glance and barked orders. "Kaido-sama's enraged and half drunk—unstoppable but not entirely rational. Flying Six! Headliners! Numbers! Gifters, Pleasures, Waiters—assemble every fighter! We're going to kill Uchiha Chiyu!"

"The little punks murdered our men, stole our money, and now dare storm our turf. Can you stomach that?!"

"NO!!!"

"Kill Uchiha Chiyu!"

"Vengeance for Jack-sama!"

"Grab their treasure—and their women!"

"Even the world's most beautiful woman, Boa Hancock, follows Chiyu—heheh, kill him and she's ours!"

"Right—slaughter every man, seize every woman!"

Onigashima boiled over. King, Queen, the Flying Six, Headliners, Numbers, and countless Gifters surged toward Wano's coast.

This was still before the canon timeline—Apoo, Drake, Hawkins hadn't joined yet—but Who's‑Who, Ulti, Page One, Sasaki, Black Maria, and scores of other elites were more than enough.

Hundreds of artificial‑Devil‑Fruit soldiers and combat monsters followed, a hellish tide of hybrid beasts roaring and cackling toward the sea.

At the same time, Kaido—the "strongest creature alive"—was barreling toward Chiyu's fleet in full dragon form. Two warships, now in Wano's inland sea, sped for Onigashima.

Chiyu's eyes flicked upward. "Something's coming."

Law felt the same chill. Clouds split; an immense blue dragon thundered toward them, its vast form filling every gaze.

"A d‑dragon?!" Even the elite soldiers blanched.

Hancock frowned. "That's Kaido's true form?"

Zephyr's voice was iron. "Mythical Fish‑Fish Fruit, Azure Dragon model. Near‑invincible, can't be killed—he's escaped the Navy every time."

The dragon halted overhead, slurring with drunken fury. "Uchiha Chiyu! Come out and die!"

Chiyu smiled—battle‑lust kindling. Few foes still stirred his blood, but Kaido was one of them.

"Zephyr, Law, Hancock—handle the Beasts Pirates. They'll outnumber us badly. Remember: take the head, end the war."

"Yes, sir!"

Chiyu became a bolt of raging lightning, shooting into the sky to face Kaido one‑on‑one. Zephyr understood: king versus king; the rest was up to them.

"Franky!"

"Heh, got it!" Franky triggered the ship again. "War-God, FIRE!"

BOOM‑‑!

The first shot had scarred the sky; this one screamed straight at Onigashima itself. The inner sea heaved, waves towering as a gigantic shell tore toward the island.

King shouted, "Look out—that's the War-God's shell! It nearly leveled Marineford!"

Queen snarled, "Less talk—help me stop it!"

Normally they bickered, but now they struck in unison. Flames wreathed King's blade—"Vermilion Bow Emperor!"—while Queen, in brachiosaur‑cyborg form, fired a black laser. The Flying Six, Headliners, and others piled on, a torrent of attacks colliding with the shell.

The explosion split the sky. Shockwaves flipped the sea, waves smashed ashore; weaker pirates were pulped or swept away, cracks zigzagged through Onigashima's ground. Even the Flying Six winced at the backlash.

"If it fires a few more times, the whole island'll crumble!"

King panted. "It can only shoot three shells—Summit War proved that."

Queen, scientist that he was, eyed the ship uneasily. "That power… feels like the Ancient Weapon Pluton—one shot could erase a nation. The War-God's not that extreme, but it's close."

"Save the analysis!" King barked. "Sink the ship, kill them all!"

The Flying Six charged ahead without waiting—that was the Beasts Pirates' flaw. Kaido's strength‑above‑all creed left them a pack of lone wolves, even among the All‑Stars and Flying Six.

By contrast, Chiyu's Undying Legion moved with iron discipline. Under Zephyr, Hancock, and Law they split into assault teams and stormed Onigashima. The decisive battle had begun.

High above, Kaido roared, flames swirling around dragon jaws. "Uchiha Chiyu! You've slaughtered Caesar Clown and Doflamingo, wrecked my business, killed my All‑Star Jack, and now you barge in here—do you think I'm nothing?!"

Chiyu hovered amid lightning, human yet equal in presence. "Everyone I've killed shared the same crime: they deserved to die. Caesar, Doflamingo, that fool Jack—and you. All guilty; all must perish."

"You arrogant brat! Think you're a god who judges all?!" Kaido bellowed.

"I am."

"Then die—Heat Breath!"

Kaido unleashed a titanic inferno, a dragon's breath that could vaporize a mountain. Chiyu didn't dodge.

"Impressive power… but that's all." He unleashed the force he'd honed over two years—melding the abilities of the Ninja and Pirate worlds into a single bloodline art he called Divine Technique.

Facing the kilometer‑long torrent, Chiyu stood firm and roared:

"Divine Thunder Dragon!"
