Capitulo: 1
Somewhere over Europe, a military plane was heading toward a city. Inside, there were 20 armed soldiers transporting a secured metal box. As they were approaching their destination, a discussion broke out among the soldiers.
One of the soldiers, number 12, asked for a reminder of the mission and why they were carrying that particular cargo. Soldier number 20, the one in charge, responded:
"The place we're heading to is the eastern part of the Emerald City, with the mission of placing this cargo at the gates of the 'The Infinity' tower."
Upon hearing this, murmurs started circulating among the others:"Why are we heading to such a dump?" "¿What exactly are we transporting?"
A silence engulfed the room when an alarm went off, flashing red lights.
"EVERYONE, WE'RE EXPERIENCING TURBULENCE AND WE'RE 3 MINUTES AWAY FROM THE DROP ZONE!"
After these words, the hatch began to open. The soldiers prepared, and one by one, they started jumping. Soldier 20, along with soldiers 17 and 4, moved to the back to release the cargo. Just as they began opening the box they were carrying, the plane's wings exploded, sending the remaining soldiers along with the compartment plummeting. Soldier 4 and the two pilots died before they could escape the plane.
Once out of the plane, 200 meters above the ground, the soldiers falling could see what had caused the plane's downfall. Machines in the shape of bats, flying alongside drones, were the cause. These machines shifted their target to the soldiers who were in free fall. The bat-like machines ended up slaughtering soldiers 12 and 2, while soldier 1, who had already deployed his parachute thinking he was safe, was shot in the lungs by one of the drones. The remaining soldiers, in shock from the massacre, had no choice but to shoot back, hoping to survive against the creatures that were exterminating their comrades. Soldiers 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, 13, 18, and 19 died at the hands of the metal beasts.
With only two minutes left to reach the ground, at an altitude of 30 meters, the machines stopped and pulled away. The soldiers managed to catch their breath, but panic set in as they realized they had fallen inside the walls of the dreaded "The Infinity" tower. However, the panic turned to confusion when the box they had been carrying fell, killing soldier 6 on impact, but it was completely empty.
