Chapter 5 - crucifix chapter 4 mayhem

allen christopher wells was among the soilders who were on the wall when the outsider had approached the wall.

he held his gun firmly in his hands and he could hear himself breathing in and out.

he was anticipating his next move. at the same time. he was eager to shoot if things went wrong.

captain thomas had gone down the investigate the nature of this stranger.

some soilders had accompanied him and he was leading them toward their target who was dressed in white clothing.

"raise your hands where I can see them."

thomas said.

"who the hell are you?

he asked.

the soilders who accompanied him had encircled the stranger.

they were outside the wall and their guns were pointed toward the outsider.

thomas was ready to capture him with force when he rose his hands up.

"what do you think you are doing here in these lands?

"I need to find the orb of light."

"I am an angel from heaven."

thomas had a confused look on his face and that of disbelieve.

these creatures were real.

no doubt. they had encountered some during the building of the wall.

to some extent. it had protected them but it was useless against these creatures called angels.

some how. they had taken up human form and were living as flesh and blood.

the military had faced them before and they were not easy opponent to fight against.

they were powerful and hard to kill. unless one was to add extreme measures.

thomas heart skipped a beat upon hearing the word.

was this some stupid trick?

he didn't like games.

the outsider streached both hands toward thomas.

"tie it up if u must."

"but then."

"you have to listen to me or else you'll die in the hands of the rising darkness."

thomas was even more dumb folded. his countenance wasn't bright anymore.

he nodded at one of the soilders at the left angle of the circle to do what was needed at the moment.

he knew what to do without being told because he suddenly approached the stranger with an handcuff in his hand.

the soilder handcuffed his hands and went back toward his position in the line.

"I could kill you right now "said thomas.

"why don't you come up with a better story huh."

he glanced around the land which was filled with white hot stoney sands.

it was impossible to survive out here without any protection, provision or food.

thomas stared at his feet and realized that the man was are footed.

he'd forgotten. however. his words carried more weight that he could not think explain or think about.

captain thomas observed the outsider with his eye.

there was a hint of doubt in his countenance.

he had lowered his gun now.

he was feeling more relaxed and conscious.

this wasn't a matter he could dispose of without bearing the responsibilities that would follow if his message was to be true.

as for his identity. being an angel was something else.

he knew of their hatred for mankind. yet. this stranger was calm.

"if what you claim is true."

"why don't you prove it."

"prove it."

he urged.

he shook his head in a disbelieving manner and pointed his gun at the outsider.

his eye brows furrowed and his countenance wasn't moved. neither was his expression which was awefully calm.

captain thomas was bent on ending things with just a single bullet. he thought that they would be no need to disturb the general who was within the city celebrating their success in building the walls and protecting the city despite it's many failures to protect the people inside.

before the wall was built.

during the first attack. when evil came and possessed the people from different countries and cities.

it brought about a group of entities which were called night walkers.

their strength was extremely much. their dark eyes spoke of the lack of souls which was within the body they inhabited.

this wasn't a joke for captain thomas.

it was more like a threat.

and most of all. he didn't like this outsider who claimed to be an angel.

these creatures were their sworn enemy.

the wall. with it's height reaching up to 35 feet and it's length and size also being of Large number.

however. it couldn't stop an angel if it decided to attack and kill people.allen wasn't sure about what was going down there.

he was up on the wall. holding a camera in his right hand and his gun in the left.

he knew captain thomas wouldn't let his guard down.

first. he'd handcuffed the stranger and then. he'd proceeded to pointing his gun at his head.

allen was sweating as he was under the sun like everyone else.

he was trying to figure out if these attacks which the possessed ones were behind was due to their fault.

he still remembered the ceremony which was held under the church 25 years ago.

allen believed that they was something spooky going down there.

the church father always prayed there at night before locking up.

he was still a child then and the city had managed to build a wall to defend them from the night walkers.

he was among the refugees who were accepted into the city.

offering protection and shelter for survivours who were from other cities.

england had become a mess. a county without defense.

the city of Ell was still standing. luckily.

they had built a wall to protect themselves.

evil humans had started a war and their food was human flesh. human blood was their refreshment.

those who were not possessed were torn apart.

cities and towns were set ablaze n

he'd lost his mother who he traveled with to get to the city of Ell.

captain thomas had taken him in at age 4 and some then.

he'd been obsessed with finding answers to thr origin of the entities which possessed the bodies of men and women.

they wasn't any more on them.

noting.

it was as if they were summoned out from a dark plane of existence.

a realm of shadows and darkness.

despite being a soilder. he was also a researcher. a priest and a writer.

he'd read of incidents which betrayed his natural sense of thinking. had seen creatures that looked human but aren't.

allen always thought that whatever evil that was around since the dark ages was still here.

for example.

the practice of human sacrifice was still carried out in some towns. not shunned.

witchcraft and voodoolism were active in the world.

the undead walked among the living.

the spiritual part of existence now presented itself to the physical without being questioned.

the natural was proving itself to be supernatural.

vise vasa.

people had began to communicate with spirits. asking them to do their bidding in exchange for souls.

some humans proved to posses supernatural abilities.

these were the end times. allen thought.

everyone lives were at stake and their first priority as humans were to defend themselves.

the witches he'd seen under the church 35 years ago had been plotting about the darkness which possessed.

he'd learnt that it was a scheme which they intended to see through as their master had requested.

allen didn't think the world would come to an end in the 17th century.

he thought he still had some time to look for answers.

he was still looking down at them with his camera when he noticed the outsiders next move which seemed to leave everyone shocked and alarmed.

slowly but deliberately. leion brought out his 3 set of red wings from his back.their size was brilliantly huge. it's sight brought about fear in the minds of the soilders.

including himself and captain thomas who had shifted backwards from this angelic presence which had decided to visit.

"holy crap."

said allen as he watched from the walls.

"holy crap."

"why must you angels spoil the fun."

one of the soilders yelled.

thomas was shocked.

a sickinining sense of fear was beginning to form in his stomach.

his hands held on tightly to the gun.

"what happens if I kill you right now angel?

"the choice is yours human."

"if don't top the darkness then we may as well perish together."

"there's no we."

"it's just us."

"your kind did all the killing."

captain thomas countenance changed into an angry look and he walked toward the outsider who had 3 wings in his back.

"noting stops me from killing you right now.'

"go ahead but remember."

"the darkness is coming."

"prepare you're least ye be over taken."

captain thomas eyed the outsider who he didn't know or had ever seen before.

there was no mistake.

the darkness was already here. however. the question that remained was how was he planning on fighting it.

he stared at the man. his eyes were green an white. his dark colour hair were loosened.

the matter was out of his hand already. he didn't want to do anything that would be regretted later on. as such.

he was willing to take the Matter to the general
