Martin Riley's work back home was almost done, and with Henry able to finish the rest, he decided to come over early. He wanted to surprise Crystal Foster, so he didn't call her. But what he witnessed downstairs at the hotel was quite the drama.
Martin felt relieved he hadn't called Crystal. If she had come down, she would have run into Philip Allen.
"Martin Riley?" Philip turned around impatiently and saw Martin standing there with his suitcase. Martin looked a bit tired, but his eyes were bright, like someone about to see a loved one, filled with joy. To Philip, though, it seemed like Martin was showing off, which made his tone unfriendly.
Martin wasn't one to back down, and with a smirk, he said, "Mr. Allen, are you planning to control where I go too?"
Philip looked displeased at Martin, knowing he was here to see Sylvia Byrne. "Mr. Riley, you've misunderstood. I'm just surprised to see you here. Are you on a business trip? Why didn't you bring your wife along?"
