The news that Crystal Foster had taken Otto to the hospital didn't escape Daisy Sanchez's notice. Hatred brewed within her as she subconsciously clenched her fists. She didn't know Crystal's true identity but instinctively believed that Sylvia Byrne was trying to use the child to win over Alex Elliott.
"Alex, don't let me down," Daisy muttered, standing by the window, her eyes sharp as she watched the bustling streets below.
Crystal's plan was working. After meeting Otto, Alex's eyes indeed showed a hint of longing. Though Alex's injuries hadn't fully healed, they all went to a nearby restaurant for a meal.
Otto really liked Alex. Even though he thought this uncle seemed a bit odd, always looking like he was about to cry when talking to him, Otto still liked him because he could sense the genuine care from Alex.
Children have the purest instincts. Otto might not understand the complexities of adult relationships, but he could directly feel what was sincere and heartfelt.
