Crystal Foster sat in her office, with Mrs. Hart by her side. The media had been relentless lately, and Mrs. Hart was worried about how it might affect Crystal.
"Godmother, I'm really fine. I don't care about these things; they can't hurt me," Crystal reassured her.
Mrs. Hart was indignant. "That White family mother and daughter are shameless! They're twisting the truth. The things they said when they came over were awful, even calling Otto a...," she took a deep breath, unable to say the words. "And now they have the nerve to spread lies in the media. I feel like marching over there and giving Mrs. White a piece of my mind!"
Crystal couldn't help but smile at Mrs. Hart's fiery temper. "Godmother, if you actually hit her, she'd really play the victim."
"Better than watching her spread lies in the media! The more I think about it, the angrier I get. I shouldn't have let you stop me that day. She deserved a good beating!"
