Marvin Mitchell's eyes widened in disbelief. "How can you put up with this?" He then looked at Martin Riley with a hint of frustration. "You're clearly treating me differently. Back then, I had a tiny crush, and you looked at me like I stole your wife. If looks could kill, I'd be long gone. But now, you're so calm about it. Martin, can I ask what changed you? Your attitude is way too chill!"
He had only developed feelings for Crystal Foster because he knew her true identity and believed there was no real connection between Martin and Crystal, thinking they'd eventually part ways. Even so, Martin had been furious enough to want to tear him apart. Now, with people openly admiring Crystal right in front of him, Martin seemed unfazed.
Martin shot him an annoyed glance. "You should be grateful I didn't know Crystal's true identity back then, or I wouldn't have let you off so easily!"
