Kai sat awkwardly beside Sylas that night when James brought Ian into the room.
"He doesn't really understand the rules of the royal family's palace yet, but I will make sure he learns well, My Lord," said James. He didn't understand why Kai chose a servant who hadn't even graduated yet.
Kai looked at Sylas uncomfortably. The new title for him still felt strange. He had heard Sylas refer to Vlad as Lord Vlad several times, and to him, that was a title for a master. In Omino, he had heard trainers call customers Lord many times.
And now, James, a man he considered a master, was calling him Lord. He looked down uneasily.
Meanwhile, Ian had been very surprised that morning when Amelia called him. He was afraid he would be expelled like Clark because of yesterday's incident. But who would have thought that he would get an offer to enter the royal family's residence?
